🎨🌈 Exploring Colours! 🌈🎨

Our children have been exploring the wonderful world of colour mixing throughout the centre, with lots of engaging provocations inviting them to experiment, investigate and get creative!

From mixing colours and making predictions to discovering what happens when different colours come together, the children have been developing their curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning.

We love seeing where their imaginations take them as they explore, discover and create! 🎨💫

🌊🐚 Exploring the Ocean Through Sensory Play 🐚🌊

Our little explorers have been diving into an ocean-inspired sensory experience!

Through different textures, colours, sounds and natural materials, the children explored what they might find beneath the sea. Sensory play provides opportunities for children to investigate, make connections, use their imaginations and engage their senses in a hands-on way.

We loved watching their curiosity come to life as they explored, discovered and created their own ocean adventures! 🌊✨

Educators Day at PlayPatch Bribie! 💗

Today we get to celebrate the incredible educators who make PlayPatch such a special place. 🥰

Early childhood education is all about the beautiful moments that happen every day the cuddles, the laughter, the silly songs, the messy play, the exciting discoveries, the little conversations and the joy of watching children grow, learn and discover the world around them. ❤️

It’s the warm welcome each morning, the excitement when a child achieves something new, the encouragement to keep trying, the friendships that blossom and the countless little moments that make such a big difference in a child’s day.

To our amazing team thank you for everything you bring to PlayPatch! Your kindness, creativity, patience and genuine love for the children shines through in everything you do. The relationships you build, the experiences you create and the memories you make with our children are truly special.

We are so proud of our educators and feel incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful team who care so deeply about our children, families and each other.

We love our special visits to our intergenerational program! Our children enjoy spending time with our wonderful community members, building meaningful relationships and sharing experiences across generations.

These visits provide beautiful opportunities for children to develop empathy, communication and social skills while learning from the experiences and stories of others. 💛

From conversations and shared activities to plenty of smiles and laughter, there is always something special about bringing generations together! 🌼

🪱🌿 Exploring Our Worms! 🌿🪱

Our Toddlers have been busy little explorers as they got up close and curious with our worms! 🔎🪱

The children carefully watched the worms wriggle and move through the soil, using their senses to explore and discover. We talked about what worms look like, how they move and where they like to live.

This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, language development and a growing understanding of the natural world. It was wonderful to see the children showing such care and fascination as they explored these tiny creatures!

Our Senior Toddlers have been busy developing their fine motor skills through a fun and engaging cutting experience! 🖍️

Using child-safe scissors, the children practiced their hand strength, coordination and control as they carefully snipped and cut along different shapes and lines. This experience also encouraged concentration, patience and confidence as the children worked at their own pace.

These little hands are developing some very important skills that support everyday tasks such as drawing, writing, dressing and using utensils. 💕✂️

Animal Experience Provocation 🐾

Inspired by our recent animal experience, educators have created opportunities for children to continue exploring and extending their learning through play. The children can investigate animal figures, natural materials, habitats, books and sensory resources while developing their understanding of where animals live and how they move.

🌿 What can you see?
🐾 Where do you think the animals live?
🦎 How do they move?
🐍 What do they eat?
🏡 Can you create a home for your animal?

Through this provocation, children are encouraged to use their imagination, make predictions, ask questions and share their knowledge as they explore the fascinating world of animals.

Our Book Week dress-up fun begins Monday, and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful costumes and characters come to life throughout the centre!
We’re looking forward to celebrating our favourite books, characters and stories with the children as we bring the magic of reading to life through play, imagination and creativity.
