Sherbourne Primary School is located approximately 19 kms north of the Melbourne CBD in the quiet, treed residential suburb of Briar Hill (between Eltham, Montmorency and Greensborough). The school was first established in 1971 and has around 220 students. The school facilities consist of modern refurbished classrooms with air conditioning, hall/gym, indoor heated swimming pool, art room, performi

Designed to help kids move, play, grow and connect, this program is all about building confidence, making friends and having FUN through movement, games and team activities! 🎉

A friendly reminder to all our Sherbourne families that Monday 1 September marks the return of our SunSmart hat rule! 🌞

From tomorrow, students will need to bring their school hat to school and wear it whenever they are outside.

🧢 NO HAT = NO PLAY 🚫

Please make sure your child has their hat ready to go each day so they can safely enjoy all the fun and learning that happens outdoors! 💛

🌟 WHAT A PERFORMANCE! 🌟

What an incredible achievement by our VSSS Mass Choir! 🎶❤️

After rehearsing and working so hard all year, our students took to the stage at John Cain Arena and absolutely pumped out TWO incredible performances! 🙌🎤

What an amazing experience it has been, performing alongside students from schools right across Victoria and being part of something so special.

A HUGE thank you to Mrs Allen, Bianca and Dayna for three incredible days of rehearsals, performances, encouragement and memories that our students will carry with them for years to come. 💕

And of course, thank you to all the other staff who have supported our students and helped them along their VSSS journey. Your support has made this experience possible.

We could not be more proud of every single one of you. ❤️

You stepped onto that stage, found your voices and showed everyone what Sherbourne students can do!

🎶✨ TODAY’S THE DAY! ✨🎶

And we couldn’t be more proud! 💓

Our amazing Sherbourne students are part of the Mass Choir at the Victorian State Schools Spectacular (VSSS) and today they are living out an incredible experience at the John Cain Arena! 🌟🎤

They are performing right now and will be back on stage again for the 6:30pm show tonight! 🎶

Words can’t describe just how excited they were to be part of this amazing event. Seeing all their hard work, dedication and rehearsals come together on such a huge stage has been truly special. 🥹❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible — our incredible students, families, staff, organisers and everyone behind the scenes. Your support has helped create a memory our students will never forget. 💫

📚✨ BOOK WEEK FRIDAY – DRESS-UP & FINAL ACTIVITIES! ✨📚

What an amazing way to finish off Book Week 2026! 💙

Today we held our Book Week Parade, and WOW! 😍

We had so many incredible book characters on display. Our students (and staff!) certainly embraced the spirit of Book Week, with some truly creative and wonderful costumes. 📖🎭

After the parade, students headed off into their groups and enjoyed four fantastic Book Week activities:

🎨 Derek – creating their own artistic interpretations and developing their very own “Big Questions” about life and the world around them.

❤️ My Nonno Loves – sharing special memories and creating a beautiful craft inspired by family and the people we hold close to our hearts.

🌈 The Colours of Home – thinking about places, holidays and memories that remind us of home and creating artwork inspired by those special moments.

🔎📚 Library Scavenger Hunt & Code Cracker – exploring the library and putting their skills to the test using the CBCA Shortlist Books!

It was wonderful to see our students creating, collaborating, reading, thinking and sharing as they celebrated their love of books and stories.

💰 A little reminder: We are collecting a gold coin donation to support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, helping provide books and literacy resources to children and communities across Australia. 📚🖤💛❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Book Week such a wonderful celebration.

Today our school was transformed into a cosy world of books and stories for our Read by Torchlight event! ✨📖

Students came along with their torches, favourite books and Oodies or hoodies over their uniforms, ready to snuggle up and enjoy some special reading time together.

It was wonderful to see everyone sharing stories, discovering new books and enjoying the simple magic of reading together. 💕📚

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this such a lovely whole-school experience!

Today our students attended their first rehearsal at John Cain Arena ahead of this Saturday’s performance — and WOW! 😍

Our students are proudly taking part in the VSSS Mass Choir, joining hundreds of talented students from across Victoria to perform as part of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. 🎤🎶

It is already looking absolutely amazing, and we can’t wait to see our students in the mass choir and be part of this incredible event on Saturday!

They have been working so hard, and it’s wonderful to see all their dedication and practice coming together. 👏❤️

Today, the Indie School students turned our school hall into a dance party! 🎶💃🕺

Our students had an absolute ball enjoying the music, games and prizes. 🎉🏆

It was such a fun way to come together, celebrate Book Week and enjoy some time as a whole school community! ❤️📚
