More women are choosing careers in trades, and we're proud to be part of that journey.
This week we visited Caboolture Hospital to welcome Metro North Hospital and Health - BEMS Engineering Department apprentice Eliza as she officially enrolled with Australian Trade Training College.
Joined by manager Blake the Caboolture Hospital BEMS Engineering Department Trade Manager and Australian Trade Training College trainer Darren, it was a great opportunity to celebrate the start of an exciting career pathway.
Following our recent recognition as Future Lady Tradies Training Organisation of the Year, moments like this remind us why creating opportunities for women in trades matters.
Congratulations, Eliza. We're looking forward to supporting your apprenticeship journey.

A proud night for the Australian Trade Training College team at the Future Lady Tradies Gala on the Gold Coast, where we were named Training Organisation of the Year.

Congratulations to everyone who represented ATTC on the night, and thank you to our wider team for the work that made this possible.

Louie didn't just finish the program. He got hired off it.

A huge congratulations to Louie, one of our CSQ-funded General Trade Ready students.
Louie's been gaining hands-on experience with the GemLife team, learning on the job in a real workplace. His attitude and work ethic didn't go unnoticed, with great feedback from site leaders.

The result? Louie's landed an apprenticeship with GemLife. 🌿

This is what the Trade Ready program is built for. New intakes are starting soon in Brendale, Gold Coast and Meadowbrook. Two weeks of skills training followed by structured workplace learning with a construction partner, fully funded by CSQ.

Happy National Tradies Day!

Today, we celebrate the people who keep Australia going.

From apprentices taking their first steps in the trade, to fully qualified tradies who have spent years honing their skills — your hard work,
dedication and expertise make a difference every day.

Whether you’re building, fixing, maintaining, installing or keeping essential services moving, Australia runs on tradies.

To every apprentice, tradie, mentor, trainer and industry professional — thank you for the work you do and the skills you bring to our communities.

Choosing a training provider shouldn’t mean choosing between developing your people and keeping your business moving.

For employers, the questions usually come down to cost, time and what happens when things don’t go to plan.

At Australian Trade Training College, we work with businesses to make training practical, flexible and easier to fit around the work that needs to get done.

Thinking about training your team? Talk to us before you decide.

This R U OK? Day, take a moment to check in with the people around you.

Whether you’re in the classroom, workshop, office or out on site, a genuine conversation can make a real difference.

If someone is on your mind, trust your instinct and ask, “Are you OK?” Then take the time to listen without judgement.

Don’t wait for one day—ask R U OK? any day.
