☀️ A significant change is coming to the SRES, with new opportunities for businesses and facilities.

The Australian Government has announced that the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) is being expanded.

Here’s the basic breakdown:
- Currently ➡️ Solar systems up to 100 kW can be eligible for STCs under the SRES.
- From 1 October 2026 ➡️ This limit is set to increase to 1 MW (1,000 kW).

What does that mean? Larger solar systems that were previously too big to qualify may now be eligible for STCs, helping reduce the upfront cost of installing solar.

This could be particularly relevant for businesses, warehouses, factories, farms, schools and other larger properties with significant electricity usage and plenty of available roof space.

📅 The expanded scheme is intended to apply to eligible systems installed from 1 October 2026, subject to the required regulations being put in place.

We'll be keeping an eye on the changes as further details are confirmed.
