Out on the training ground, learners were putting their confined space rescue skills into practice.

From securing a casualty to coordinating a safe lift and carry, the team worked through each stage of the rescue process together. Plenty of hands-on learning and plenty of problem-solving.

Training for the situations no one wants to face, but everyone needs to be ready for.

Our QLD Health and Safety Representative course on 7 September is designed to give HSRs and deputy HSRs the knowledge and confidence to represent their work groups and navigate their responsibilities under the WH&S legislation.

Held over 5 days, this is a comprehensive course focusing on compliance and building confidence in sometimes challenging work, including building skills relating to participating in consultations and issue resolution.

The Guy Jellicoe Scholarship is now open to workers in High Pressure Water Jetting, Drain Cleaning and Vacuum Loading industries. Whether it's a simple modification on site, a safety improvement, or a digital tool you've been thinking about, this scholarship is designed to help turn good ideas into something real.

The successful applicant will receive a Safe Start PPE kit, seed funding, mentorship for your project, industry recognition across AUSJET/ADCVA channels, a speaking opportunity at AUSJET26, and travel to Sydney covered!

If you're under 35 and have a practical idea that solves a real problem in the industry, this might be your opportunity to bring it to life.

This training ensures that Health & Safety Representatives remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on their responsibilities, duties, and other rights within the workplace in relation to health & safety.

The course provides an opportunity for HSRs to refresh their knowledge on identifying and controlling workplace hazards, understanding legislative requirements, effectively communicating with workers and management, and advocating for health and safety improvements in the workplace
