🔭Last week we were fortunate to join our neighbouring small schools in a day full of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.🔎

A big thanks to Delegate Public School for the initiative alongside Snowy Hydro and their generous grant program to enable this to take place.

Throughout the day, students immersed themselves in a range of exciting hands-on experiences that evoke creativity and curiosity. They explored our galaxy in the planetarium, created electrical circuits using play dough, launched rockets, viewed the skies through telescopes, tackled an engineering challenge, investigated geological and environmental science, and developed their coding skills with robotics.

Our love of STEM continues to grow, as does our connection across our students, teachers and community partners.

Our activities throughout the day were made possible through the dedication and expertise of the Snowy STEM academy, University of Canberra ASPIRE Team and the Australian National University.

Thank you to our school network and to all of our staff- many hands make light work! Berridale Public School thank you for having us all visit your fabulous school.

These partnerships showcase the strength of public education and the amazing opportunities that can be created when schools, universities and industry work together.

🌱 A huge thank you to Dayna from Snowy Monaro Regional Council for visiting our school this week! Our students had a fantastic time learning about science and sustainability through the compost in a bottle activity. We’re so grateful for your expertise and enthusiasm, and for helping our students understand the importance of caring for our environment.
