Book Week is in full swing, and we are excited to celebrate the joy of reading with our students and school community.

Our Book Fair is open all week and will continue until Friday, providing a fantastic opportunity for students and families to browse and purchase new books. Every purchase helps support our school library and encourages a love of reading.

We are also looking forward to our Book Week Assembly and Parade, which will be held today at 2:00 pm. Families are invited to come along and enjoy seeing our students showcase their creative costumes inspired by their favourite book characters.

A massive shout-out to Natalya Diehm for visiting Bray Park and speaking with our Year 4–6 students today!

Our students had the incredible opportunity to hear firsthand about Natalya’s journey and how she overcame challenges, showed resilience and worked hard to achieve her dream of competing in BMX Freestyle at the Olympic Games.

Natalya inspired our students to set goals, believe in themselves and strive to be the best they can be — whether that’s at home, at school, with friends or on the sporting field.

Thank you, Natalya, for sharing your story, answering our students’ questions and reminding them that challenges don’t have to stand in the way of their dreams.

Natalya Diehm is coming to Bray Park State School tomorrow as part of the Olympics Unleashed program.

Olympics Unleashed connects athletes with schools across the country to inspire students to find and follow their passion and provide lessons in goal setting, overcoming challenges and developing resilience.

Natalya Diehm will be drawing on her Olympic journey and how she overcame challenges to compete in her chosen sport (BMX Freestyle) at the highest level to help inspire the students at Bray Park to be the best they can be – whether that’s in school, at home, on the sporting field or with friends.

Our Year 2 students are off to the Caboolture Historical Village for a great day of learning and discovery. They will explore how life has changed over time, seeing firsthand the differences between the past and the present.

We look forward to hearing about their experiences and the fascinating historical discoveries they make throughout the day!

It was great having Rhyme Rhythm and Sign performing arts troupe with us this morning. Our Prep to Year 3 learners enjoyed singing, dancing and learning key word signs from Auslan.
