Ipswich Adventist School

Ipswich Adventist School Ipswich Adventist School is an independent co-educational school which offers quality Christian education from Kindy to Year 6.

The school is founded on Biblically supported principles and values, with enrolment open to families of all religious persuasions who have regard for the Christian ethos and culture of the school. The school is known for its caring environment and ability to cater for the needs of the whole student. We believe education is about guiding students to develop the knowledge and skills that will enable

them to think critically about their world, understand their place in it and make meaningful contributions to it. Our spiritual focus and explicit teaching of emotional intelligence underpins our value of developing young people who contribute and are service oriented. This involves catering to the spiritual, emotional, physical, social and academic needs of the student. Our proven literacy and numeracy programs offer challenging academic material that guide students in reaching their full academic potential. Complimenting the excellent academic programs are modern, well equipped classrooms and a new learning resource centre. Each classroom features interactive whiteboards and mobile computer labs. The playground has shaded eating areas, a tennis court and play equipment. A blend of sound educational practices, well resourced classrooms and a family oriented environment, with dedicated Christian teachers, combines to produce a well rounded, quality education.

We had a wonderful time together, celebrating Book Week, which brought out the creativity in everyone.
The highlight was Grandparents' Day, marked by a vibrant dress-up parade and a fun-filled school picnic. The parade was full of energy, with students dressing up as their favourite book characters and bringing them to life. The picnic was a great way to relax and connect over some delicious morning tea.
Book Week is a fantastic opportunity for building literacy, laughter, and connection among our school community and grandparents alike.

The Year 1 class had a special visit from the local Fire Brigade to learn all about fire safety. The firefighters shared the importance of knowing what to do and having an escape plan in case of a fire. An exciting part of the visit was a tour of the fire truck and having a turn with the water hose.

A huge congratulations to the students who qualified to represent our school at the 2026 Ipswich North & South Zone Track & Field Trials last week.

They all gave their best effort, represented our school with pride, and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field.

A special congratulations to Kataleya, Abbie, Levi, and Reuben, who have qualified for the next stage, the Western Ranges District School Sports Track & Field Trials. We wish them all the very best as they continue their athletics journey!
