TOM JELLETT VISITS BRANXTON!

Our Infants students enjoyed a visit from illustrator Tom Jellett on Monday as part of our Book Week celebrations.
Tom explained the process of how a picture book is made, from the initial ideas through to the finished book, and shared his experience as an illustrator with the students.
A big thank you to Tom for visiting Branxton PS and for taking the time to judge our Create a Character competition. We’ll be announcing the winners soon!

MARCELO BAEZ VISITS BRANXTON!
Our Primary students had a fantastic time with visiting illustrator Marcelo Baez on Friday!
After a fun drawing warm up, and learning that drawing is a skill that needs regular exercise and practice, Marcelo taught students how to draw Spider-Man and The Phantom before finishing with a hilarious monster dice drawing game.
There was plenty of creativity, laughter and some fantastic artwork produced throughout the day.
A huge thank you to Marcelo for visiting Branxton PS and sharing his talents with our students!

DEBATING SUCCESS!

The Zone rounds of the NSW Premier’s Debating Challenge are done, and we are so proud of our two teams, the Witty Warriors and the Banter Busters.

With weekly debating training built into our HPGE time, we’ve seen both teams grow so much. Their confidence, teamwork, quick thinking, persuasive speaking and rebuttal skills have come a long way throughout the competition.

🏆 And a very special congratulations to our Witty Warriors, who are the 2026 ZONE CHAMPIONS!

They now progress to the Regional Knockout Finals, with their first debate against Singleton Heights Public School on Monday 24 August.

We’re incredibly proud of all our debaters and wish the Witty Warriors the very best for the next round!
