When the Newcastle Farmers Market isn’t on, we’re doing our best to make fresh, local produce available straight from our farm gate.

Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor

Full-Time Position

Signature Learning and Development (SLAD) is seeking an experienced civil construction professional to join our training team.

This role would suit someone with extensive industry experience who enjoys mentoring others and wants to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of workers. Previous training experience is welcome but not essential.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

* Civil Construction
* Road Maintenance
* Bituminous Surfacing
* Pipe Laying
* Civil Plant Operations

What You'll Be Doing

* Delivering practical, industry-focused training and assessment.
* Conducting workplace assessments.
* Supporting learners to develop skills and achieve qualifications.
* Working with industry clients across NSW.
* Maintaining training and assessment records.

What We're Looking For

* Strong practical experience within the civil construction industry.
* Confidence communicating with people from all backgrounds.
* A willingness to share your knowledge and mentor others.
* Ability to travel as required throughout NSW.
* Current Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is highly regarded but not essential.

If you're the right person and don't currently hold a TAE, SLAD will support you to obtain the qualification within your first six months of employment.
