Exciting news for our Year 12 students! 🎓 As they prepare for external exams and their final weeks of school, we are delighted to celebrate those who have already received and accepted university offers.

Offers span International Tourism and Hotel Management, Nursing, Paramedicine, Law, Secondary and Primary Education, Nutrition, Business and Arts, with placements at Griffith University, University of the Sunshine Coast and Australian Catholic University (ACU).

Congratulations to these students on this wonderful achievement! 👏

We wish every Year 12 student all the very best for the weeks ahead. We are so proud of all you have achieved and cannot wait to see what comes next.

🗼🇫🇷 The French Immersion Tour is off to a fantastic start!

Our students have arrived safely in Paris and have wasted no time diving into the sights, sounds, and language of France. Highlights so far include visiting the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral, wandering through the stunning Luxembourg Gardens, and taking in the beauty of Paris from a Seine River cruise.

The group has also enjoyed a visit to the breathtaking Loire Valley and the beautiful town of Tours, experiencing firsthand the rich culture and history that make France so special.

Congratulations to Lilly who represented Australia at the World Junior Squash Championships in Canada.

The team faced some very tough opponents throughout the week of competition and finished in 8th place overall.

Bravo Lilly for representing the green and gold with determination and pride!

This month Year 9 students went on camp and showed incredible teamwork, resilience and courage throughout camp. For many, it was their first time camping in the country, and they embraced every challenge with positivity and determination.

We are so proud of all they achieved and the spirit they displayed. A special thank you to our dedicated staff who spent time away from their own families to make this experience possible.

A huge congratulations to Sabrina (Year 9) on her selection for Vermilion High 2026, a prestigious music industry development program run by QUT’s Vermilion Records.

As one of just 12 young artists selected from across Queensland, Sabrina will have the opportunity to record and release original music, collaborate with industry professionals, and gain hands-on experience in a professional recording environment.

We are incredibly proud of Sabrina and look forward to following her journey through this exciting program. Well done, Sabrina! 🎤✨

Thank you to all the dads and father figures who joined us for our Dad & Daughters Breakfast to celebrate Father's Day. 💙

From fun and games to quality time together, it was a wonderful morning celebrating the special role fathers and father figures play in our students' lives.

Huge congratulations to Tajpreet (Year 9) on being selected as a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize! 🎨✨

Her outstanding artwork will be exhibited at the State Library of Queensland from 19 September to 8 November, with the winners announced on Opening Night on 18 September.

This achievement comes after Tajpreet was voted the People's Choice Award winner in the SJFC Portrait Prize earlier this year. We are incredibly proud of her talent and wish her the very best for the awards.

A massive congratulations to our CaSSSA Track & Field team, our athletes travelled to QSAC to compete in the annual CaSSSA Track & Field Medium
Championships. Despite an early start, the athlete's brough energy and enthusiasm to the grandstand and opening 1500m events and continued with the Fisher Spirit till the final all age relay.

A special mention to our TWO CaSSSA record breakers:
- Frankie (Year 7) - 12Y 800m; WAS 2.45.72 (2022) NOW 2.35.83
- Saige (Year 7) - 12Y Discus; WAS 27.91m (2025) NOW 29.05m

Additionally, TWO students were named in the CaSSSA Honours Team
- Hendrix (Year 8 ) – 14Y Shot Put
- Caitlin (Year 11) – 17Y Javelin

SJFC was fortunate to bring home the field trophy again in 2026, for the second year in a row and were runners up in the Aggregate, Percentage &
Track Trophies. Congratulations to all our athletes !
