We're bidding a fond farewell to Gardenup, our cherished 15-acre property, which has been our home for many years. My daughter Dana came up with the name 'Gardenup,' which perfectly captures the essence of this special place. As a Demeter- Bio Dynamic certified farm, we've built a thriving ecosystem, breeding chickens and caring for my elderly mother, who lived in the old homestead and was a pillar of strength and love. After her passing in 2015, Tim and I continued to nurture our community, which has been at the heart of everything we've done. We met in 2006 and exchanged vows under Gardenup's trees, beginning a lifelong journey together. Today, we've handed over the reins to Tristan and Lisa-Marie, a younger couple with children, who we hope will build on the legacy we've created. We're grateful for the support we've received and are excited to continue on our farm, Zest, 45 kilometers down the Boyup-Kojonup road, where we'll be closer to our grandchildren and our animals will be together. We're blessed being part of the Boyup Brook community, where community spirit is alive and well.

Check out my first bouquet of flowers I picked! Flowers are awesome buddies for veggies. Loving the giant sunflowers, towering over the veggies, providing shade and attracting bees. Planted flowers all around and it's a feast for the eyes with all the different colors. 🌻🌸🌼

The other day I had the pleasure of meeting a lady who referred to me as the Chook Lady in town. I graciously acknowledged her recognition, as I have dedicated over two decades to breeding pedigree poultry. Simultaneously, I have also been serving as a Thermomix Consultant during this time.

My journey began when my mother and I acquired Gardenup in Boyup Brook, where I diligently cared for my chickens while looking after my mother, who required specialised foods. This endeavor eventually led me to purchase my first Thermomix in 2004 and subsequently become a Thermomix consultant. I earned my Thermomix through hard work and dedication, and over the past 20 years, I have assisted over 600 individuals in enhancing their cooking skills, making positive lifestyle changes, or simply rediscovering the joy of cooking with the help of a Thermomix.

I am deeply passionate about both of my professions and feel incredibly grateful for the support of all those who recognize me as the Chook Lady and Thermomix Consultant. Without the trust and loyalty of my customers, as well as the unwavering support of my husband Tim, I would not have the privilege of reflecting on my two decades of fulfilling work in these roles.

Thank you to each and every one of you for being the pillars upon which I rely. Your trust and encouragement have sustained me throughout this incredible journey spanning over 20 years.
