Today I’ve been reflecting on my Fitness journey.
Starting my business,saying “Yes” to helping Women become strong & healthy..

My own business is no longer running,but I’m so thankful to all the incredible women who believed in me,trusted the process of training their bodies & showed up each week!

Why did you decide to do personal training?
After undertaking physio in the recovery from a broken foot, I was keen to re-establish some fitness pots COVID as well as manage mid life better through weight bearing exercise. I knew that I would be pretty hopeless at building and maintaining a routine by myself, so PT was the right answer for me. My physio and lots of other people told me that Sam is one of the best PTs out there - and they were definitely right!

At 80 years young ,Betty has played Badminton 2 x a week ,enjoying a bike ride & has recently returned to the gym.

We train 2 x a week with a focus on building strength.
Deadlifts are Betty’s favourite exercise!

Here are some of Betty’s thought around returning to the Gym..

⭐️I was feeling that I was loosing some of my strength and balance.

What do I love about Personal Training?

My small group shows up every week with energy, grit and good humour — and that’s what makes coaching such a joy.

✅ They train twice a week for a solid hour

🔥 They work hard (and yes, I love watching them push!)
✨ They enjoy the variety
🤝 They keep each other accountable

It’s more than exercise… it’s community, growth and a whole lot of laughs along the way.

SIDE PLANK (from knees)

Works:
⭐️ Side Obliques
⭐️ Transverse Abdominals
⭐️ Quadratus Lumborum (QL)

A side plank strengthens your obliques and deep core muscles, helping to improve stability, balance, and posture, while also supporting your spine and reducing the risk of back injuries.

It also challenges your glutes, shoulders, and hip stabilizers.
Because it’s a unilateral exercise, each side works independently — great for correcting muscle imbalances and strengthening your lateral chain.

Tips for postural clients:
⭐️ Focus on your breathing as you hold the position
⭐️ Start with a lift and hold for 5 seconds — gradually increase the time
⭐️ Progress to a full side plank with legs straight (stacked on top of each other)
