We wish our students all the very best as they set off tomorrow on their Indigenous Immersion experience – a truly unique and life-changing opportunity.
In preparation for this journey, students have participated in weekly formation sessions designed to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives, as well as the challenges that continue to confront First Nations peoples today.
This experience reflects our College’s commitment to justice, truth, reconciliation and peace. We look forward to hearing about the students’ experiences, the relationships they build, and the insights they gain as they engage in this important learning journey.
Safe travels to all involved. We cannot wait to welcome you back and learn from your experiences.

Today, we welcomed prospective families to our College for our Talk and Tour event.
It was wonderful to see the energy, anticipation and excitement among families as they explored our College with the guidance of our outstanding Year 10 student ambassadors.
We could not be prouder of our Sion students. It is heartwarming to see our young women so confident, articulate and empowered as they shared their experiences and showcased all that makes our College such a special place.
Thank you to all the families who joined us today, we look forward to welcoming many of you back to Sion in the future.

Our Year 10 students were inspired to hear from alumna Rachel Butler Reid (Class of 1995), who shared her career journey and insights into the many opportunities available for women in the automotive industry.
From trade roles and insurance to marketing, product development and leadership, Rachel highlighted the diverse pathways within the sector. Students also learned about her own journey to leading Women in Automotive, an organisation dedicated to supporting and celebrating women across the industry.
Thank you, Rachel, for encouraging our students to think broadly about their future career possibilities.

Lunchtime was filled with energy, laughter, and creativity as our Drama Captain, Georgia D (12B), led a fantastic dance workshop for students!
Using a lively song from Seussical ‘Oh The Thinks You Can Think.’ Georgia taught a fun routine that had everyone moving, smiling, and embracing the joy of performance. It was wonderful to see so many students involved, building confidence, and sharing in the excitement of musical theatre.
A huge thank you to Georgia for her enthusiasm, leadership, and for creating such a positive and joyful lunchtime experience for everyone involved

What an amazing collaboration between House and Music, for the House Music Competition! This jeopardy-style game saw the Houses compete based on their musical knowledge. The students brought lots of energy, and it was certainly a highlight of the Term 2 House program!

Our students have been showcasing their confidence, critical thinking and public speaking skills through a series of debating and public speaking competitions this term.
At the Debaters Association of Victoria (DAV) Schools’ Competition, our Year 9–12 debaters tackled a range of challenging and contemporary topics, presenting thoughtful, well-researched arguments in fiercely contested debates. While the results did not fall our way, both teams performed exceptionally well, with losses by only the narrowest of margins. We are proud of the dedication, teamwork and resilience they demonstrated throughout the competition.
Our students also represented the College at the Ainger Peck Public Speaking Competition, hosted by the Rotary Club of Richmond. Competing against students from across Melbourne, Scarlett, Lila-Grace and Clare delivered passionate and engaging speeches, impressing judges with their confidence, delivery and audience engagement.
Congratulations to all students involved for embracing these opportunities and representing the College with such enthusiasm and poise. We wish our debaters the very best for the next round of competition.
