Know a family preparing for Prep?

Our free Prep, Set, GO! parent information series is designed to help families feel informed, confident and ready for the transition to school.

Parents will hear from experienced educators, gain practical tips on school readiness and learn more about how children are supported as they begin their educational journey.

If you have friends, family members or colleagues getting ready for this exciting milestone, we'd love you to share this opportunity with them.

What a week for Kingswood sport!

Our Year 8-12 teams recently competed in eight Grand Finals across Football, Badminton, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee and Table Tennis.

A special congratulations to our four premiership-winning teams:

What stood out most was the commitment shown by every student. Whether they came away with a trophy or not, they trained hard, supported their teammates and represented Kingswood with determination, respect and pride.

Congratulations to all students involved. You have continued a proud Kingswood tradition of teamwork and excellence.

Kingswood students continue to impress!

Three student teams recently represented the College at the Tournament of Minds Regional Competition at Deakin University, taking on creative and challenging tasks that required teamwork, innovation and problem-solving.

A special congratulations to our Language Literature Team 2 and The Arts Team 1, who received Honours and placed amongst the top 10% of teams in the competition.

What stood out most was the way students worked together, supported one another and embraced every challenge with confidence and determination.

These are the kinds of experiences that help build resilience, creativity and lifelong skills, and we're incredibly proud of what they achieved.

Wyvernians, did you ever compete in Tournament of Minds or a similar academic competition during your time at Kingswood? We'd love to hear your memories!

Our 2026 Choral Spectacular lived up to its title in every respect - a superb, diverse programme of choral works, taken from around the world. This concert featured the College Choir, Tomfoolery, Cantabile, the Junior School Choir, Lachlan Higgins (Baritone), our choral directors and accompanists, and our 2026 Conductor in Residence, Dr. Michael Barrett. Thank you to everyone who came out for this beautiful evening of music, and congratulations to all of the students who performed. We look forward to seeing you again at Showcase on 8 September!

Athletics Day continues to be one of the highlights of the school year!

Our Junior School students recently enjoyed a fantastic day of sport, laughter and House spirit, but the real highlight was the encouragement and support they showed one another throughout the day.

From cheering on classmates to celebrating personal achievements, students demonstrated kindness, respect and perseverance in every event.

Sport has always been an important part of the Kingswood experience, helping students build confidence, resilience and friendships that often last well beyond their school years.

A big thank you to Ash van Hattum for coordinating such a successful event, and congratulations to Walker House, our 2026 Junior School Athletics Day champions! πŸ†

Wyvernians, do you remember your favourite Athletics Day event or House rivalry? We'd love to hear your memories.

πŸ”¬ National Science Week got off to an inspiring start at Kingswood!

We were thrilled to welcome Australian STEM superstar Dr Daisy Shepherd to speak with our students about her journey into science and the many twists and turns that got her there.

Her message was simple but powerful: be curious, ask questions, try new things and don't be afraid to make mistakes.

It was wonderful to see students so engaged and excited by the possibilities that science can offer.

Thank you, Dr Daisy, for sharing your story and helping spark curiosity in the next generation of Kingswood students.

We'd love to hear from our alumni working in science, technology, engineering or maths. What first sparked your interest?

HPV alumni, this one's for you!

Our Human Powered Vehicle team was recently featured by Energy Breakthrough, showcasing the EVO programme that has been part of Kingswood since 1998.

Generations of students have contributed to EVO, spending countless hours in the workshop designing, building, testing and refining the vehicle year after year. The tradition continues today, with students learning valuable skills while being part of something much bigger than themselves.

Were you part of HPV during your time at Kingswood? We'd love to hear your memories in the comments.

What happens when students are genuinely invited into the conversation?

At Kingswood College, they help shape the outcome.

In this week's Principal's Update, students Tilly (year 5) and Will (year 9) share the results of our formal uniform consultation process, which invited feedback from students across Junior and Secondary School.

The process generated thoughtful discussion around design, functionality, and presentation, with student feedback informing a range of updates to the new formal wardrobe options.

Most importantly, the project provided a meaningful opportunity for students to contribute to a decision that will form part of everyday College life for years to come.

Thank you to every student who participated and helped shape the future of the Kingswood wardrobe.
