Thank you everyone who attended our exciting meeting of Box Hill Toastmasters tonight, our theme was “Cross Cultural Communication”. Our toastmaster Helen gave a very informative and insightful introduction to the theme. We had two exciting and inspiring prepared speeches from Paul and Helen. Finally, our table topics master Paul kicked off a very unique table topics session where everyone asked each other questions related to the theme .

Our fame master Paul also enlightened us with dos and don’ts on Valentine’s Day.

Finally our table topics master Aarjav worked everyone’s brains with challenging questions about artificial intelligence and how it may impact on our lives.

Our toastmaster Helen gave an informative and lecture about the Chinese Zodiac and people with the rabbit personality. We had two excellent prepared speeches tonight, one from Gamini who inspired and motivated us to become better leaders, and another from Helen who told a deeply personal story her experiences in an English speaking class. Finally, our table topics master Gamini kept us on our toes with a lot of challenging questions.

Our toastmaster and round robin master Paul invited us to share our experiences of planning for a trip. Our member Michael gave a deeply personal speech about his struggle with searching for love. Our fame master Aarjav enlightened us with fascinating tidbits about animal sounds in different languages. Our table topics master Gamini really challenged us with some thought provoking questions. Finally we our guest Chris graced us with his presence!

She also gave us a wonderful prepared speech about her personal struggles with giving out hugs! Our table topics master Aarjav also did a great job at getting everyone to consider the theme of culture shock. We had the pleasure of two guests Chris and Sue join us for first time, we look forward to seeing them in the future! Finally we had the pleasure of our area director Tomas grace us with his presence!
