At the end of last term, our Grade 3–6 students took part in the House Cross Country, running distances from 1km to 2.5km and competing for valuable points for their house.
Starting and finishing at Box Hill Skate Park, students made their way along the Gardiners Creek Trail, showing determination, resilience and plenty of team spirit along the way. The house spirit was loud and proud, with groups cheering their house names throughout the event and encouraging their teammates across the finish line.
Well done to all runners for giving it their best effort and having fun along the way.
Best wishes to all students who qualified for the District Cross Country event and are competing today. We are very proud of you and wish you all the best!

Two Fridays ago, our much-anticipated Colour Run was an absolute hit! With perfect weather and plenty of energy, students tackled a fun course filled with obstacles including a slip’n’slide, bursts of water, and clouds of coloured powder. There were smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of colour from start to finish.
A highlight of the day was our top fundraisers earning the chance to slime a few very brave teachers – always a crowd favourite! To wrap it all up, our local firies rolled in with their fire truck to hose everyone down, much to the kids’ delight.
A huge well done to our school community for the incredible fundraising effort and for making the day such a success.

Last Wednesday, as part of our Harmony Week celebrations, students across the school came together for a special whole-school assembly celebrating diversity and belonging.
Students had the option to wear cultural clothing or a touch of orange, filling the school with colour and pride. The assembly was opened by our Grade 6 leaders and featured a fantastic interview and artistic performances from two families, sharing their cultures and experiences from India and Ethiopia.
To finish, students took part in a vibrant parade showcasing their Harmony Day outfits, followed by energetic drumming workshops that had everyone involved and having fun.
A great day celebrating inclusion, respect and the rich diversity of our school community.

Students across the school enjoyed fantastic African drumming workshops yesterday as part of our Harmony Day celebrations. Each class had the chance to pick up a drum, learn new rhythms and experience a small taste of a different culture.
The sessions were full of energy and plenty of enthusiastic drumming, with the sound of the drums echoing right through the school and out into the surrounding neighbourhood. It was a great way to celebrate diversity, belonging and learning something new.
A big thank you to the talented Odai and team at African Drumming who led the workshops and made the day such a fun and memorable experience for everyone. 🥁

Over the past two weeks, our Foundation students took part in two engaging fire safety sessions with our local firefighters. The students learnt important lessons about staying safe at home, how to escape a fire, and how to call for help.
To finish off the program, the firefighters brought a fire truck into the school for some fun. Students were thrilled to climb inside the truck and take turns holding a real fire hose to water the oval.
A big thank you to our local MFB (Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade) firefighters for taking the time to teach our students such valuable life skills — and for making the experience so much fun! 🚒🔥

Some of our Robbie Mac students were out and about yesterday helping to name the SRL East tunnel boring machines.
What a great opportunity to learn about the engineering that goes train tunnels and rail networks!
