Our whole school has just completed an exciting Air-Dry Clay unit in art and we’ve been so impressed by the creativity, problem-solving and persistence shown by our students. From shape magnets to pinch pot techniques to keyrings. It’s been wonderful to see the students develop their clay skills while experimenting, problem-solving and bringing their own ideas to life. We hope you enjoy looking through the photos of their finished pieces as much as our students enjoyed the process of making them.

Our Spring Garden! As the weather warms up, our 3 year old Kinder group began tending to their vegetable garden. They turned the soil, discovered some worms, separated carrot and corn seedlings ready for planting and watered their crop. This hands-on experience nurtured teamwork, responsibility and care for livings things, while developing the children’s appreciation and understanding of how plants grow and how we can help care for our environment.

Eat a Rainbow Day in Correa group! As part of our healthy eating program, the children learnt about the importance of ‘eating a rainbow.’ By eating foods daily from a rainbow of colours, it ensures that we feed our bodies a wide range of nutrients. This helps to make us strong and keep us healthy. We had a discussion of identifying different food from each colour of the rainbow and how they help our bodies. The children helped to chop the colourful range of foods and then selected something from each colour to eat for their snack. They ate so much and really loved this experience!! It was a great way for children to try new foods and it was wonderful to see them all enjoying such healthy choices.
