A special shout out to the team for welcoming Ella, Rhadaya and Darcy during their Mechanical/Electrical placement. The students have really enjoyed the experience and have appreciated the chance to learn new skills, gain hands-on industry knowledge, and see what the workplace is like in this field.

Congratulations Year 12 student Kala Auda on her Deadly Start graduation. Kala has successfully completed her Certificate III in Health Services at the Bowen Hospital.

🎭Arts Showcase🖼🎨

What an absolutely terrific evening of Arts, Media, Drama and Music at our 2026 Arts Showcase.

Events like the 2026 Arts Showcase represent months of planning, rehearsals, late night editing sessions and set up, resulting in a night that truly highlights the depth of talent within our amazing school.

Highlights from our unforgettable night:

🖼Market Displays & Visual Arts: The vibrant student exhibitions showcased creativity and artistic expression, offering a stunning visual backdrop to the evening.

🎶 Music & Performances: From beautiful vocal performances and instrumental ensembles to high-energy bands, the stage was filled with talented students and staff.

🎥 Film & Theatre: The short films, movie projects, and dramatic skits brought fantastic humor, storytelling and cinematic vision to the audience.

Congratulations to the talented students for stepping into the spotlight, and to our dedicated staff whose mentorship and behind-the-scenes effort made the showcase possible!

Bowen High visits Kidz at the Beach for Book Week.

Today Mr Harris (Woody) along with an excited group of students visited Kidz at the Beach to read stories.

Stories included, Thelma the Unicorn, Room on the Broom and We're going on a Bear hunt! Our students did a fantastic job!
Thank you to the staff of Kidz at the Beach for following us to spend time with your children during our Book Week Celebrations.

Premiere: Arts in Practice Project

With only 1 sleep to go until our amazing Arts Showcase, we wanted to share an amazing project completed by our Year 12 Arts in Practice students.

The students were given the task to design a set, props and scene for Book Week. The students worked extremely hard with the help of Mrs Land and Miss Grinstead to design, create and produce a "Play School" style video with Mr Harris to celebrate Book Week.

And what is even better, was that Mr Harris and the students did it in 1 take (and 1 practice...)!

Well done to our students for your creative skills.
