Today in Junior Kindy, the children enjoyed a hands-on cooking experience making ANZAC biscuits. Before we began, we had a group discussion about ANZAC Day, where we watched a short video of soldiers marching and talked about the important role soldiers play in keeping us safe and helping communities during events such as floods.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Abbot Point Operations for their generous donation through their Community Support Program 💙

Thanks to their support, we have been able to install a rainwater tank and a beautiful creek with a hand pump system that recycles water. This incredible addition provides our children with hands-on learning opportunities, helping them understand the importance of sustainability, water conservation, and the natural water cycle.

Experiences like these empower our children to connect with the environment in meaningful ways and develop lifelong respect for our planet 🌱💧

We are truly grateful for your contribution to our learning environment and for helping us inspire the next generation.

Today’s excursion for the Toddlers to the pet store was full of wonder, excitement, and rich learning opportunities for our curious little explorers!
We chose our fish for our fishtank and headed back to the centre to release them. :)

Today we say goodbye to Miss Kenedy as she finishes her time with Bowen Childcare and Early Education 💛

Miss Kenedy has been a valued part of our centre, bringing warmth, care, and dedication to the children and families she has supported. She will be truly missed by our team and our little learners.

🌈 Celebrating Holi at Our Centre 🌈
At our centre, we proudly embed the celebration of diverse cultural events into our program, helping children learn about and appreciate the rich traditions of our community and the world around them.
On Monday, we celebrated Holi, the vibrant Festival of Colours! To mark the occasion, our children and educators participated in a joyful colour run. Laughter filled the air as everyone enjoyed being showered in bright colours, embracing the spirit of happiness, unity and new beginnings that Holi represents.
It was a wonderful experience shared by both children and staff! 🌈✨

The Junior Kindy children joined in celebrating Chinese New Year by preparing Cantonese Fish together. In Chinese culture, fish is enjoyed during this celebration as it symbolises abundance, prosperity, and good fortune for the year ahead. The children also created red envelopes and shared with educators who they would like to give their special gifts to. Red envelopes are a meaningful Chinese New Year tradition, representing good luck, protection, and positive wishes for the new year, while also encouraging generosity, care, and connection with others.
