Nestled in the beautiful Canterbury Gardens, Playstation Inc. provides high quality occasional care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

The Centre has two separate areas, the Nursery and Preschool, which have their own dedicated rooms and playgrounds.

As December arrives, we are delighted to celebrate Christmas, and our room is filled with festive cheer. Decorating the tree is a cherished activity, and interestingly, home trees are meant to be admired, we have obtained our own elf to guarantee we make the right decisions. We look forward to enjoying the remaining weeks with your lovely children.

Enjoyable moments spent outdoors amidst the ever-changing weather, much like our water play with its diverse colours, the children continue to amaze me with the numerous ways a single toy can be utilised. Whether it is colour-coordinating groceries or rearranging a rainbow, children perceive things in a uniquely wonderful manner. They exhibit such comfort with one another, and we feel fortunate to be working at Playstation.

We planted a tomato plant and hopefully with all the watering it’s getting, it will bare fruit!🤞🏼The children’s interests are changing, less individual play and more collaborative and imaginative. The spring flowers are to brighten up your homes and bring more sunshine. 🌞

This crazy weather is at it again! One minute we're watching hail and eating it, the next it's sunny and time for water play. I think our snails would be happy, but I challenge you to find one in your garden - we couldn't. We've had a fun collaboration with great conversations and fun times at PlayStation.

This week has been quite unusual in terms of weather. I hope everyone had a positive experience and enjoyed the short week. As the weather warmed up, the water table was filled with very green water, please accept my apologies for any slight discoloration on clothing. We are currently focused on studying insects, mini-beasts, and any other outdoor findings. Consequently, the busy bee with a stinger is now in your possession.

With Halloween at the end of the week, we decided stenciled Bats would be our art experience, not too scary. The kenitic sand still popular and so important having sensory play available. Bella went to Playstation hairdressers, a few knots were made! 😂 A great week of play.

Wild and windy weather meant we spent a couple of days indoors, the children weren’t fussed as they just love to play and hear stories. We printed handprints ready for the end of year, only 8 weeks to go !!

This week we decorated our very own Spring tree!
Each day we added something new, and it looks amazing. We’ve noticed so much more collaborative play happening-the children are really starting to seek one another out. They are becoming more confident and independent, needing less support from us as they play together. Water play has been a big hit this week ( sorry about the wet clothes!) it will be a regular occurrence.

Welcome back, yep it’s already term 4. Great to see all the happy faces thoughout the week. It’s lovely having some warmth in the sunshine ( thank goodness for hats) to enjoy all Spring has to offer. We challenged our fine motor skills with scrunching up tissue paper to make a blossom tree, some were more abundant than others.

As spring arrived with warmer weather, we maximized our outdoor activities. With maturity came enhanced collaboration among the children. Their playful learning is so creative.

All the children loved talking about their special Dad, Papa, Daddy and Grandad drawing magnificent portraits. Hope you all enjoyed Fathers Day. All staff received chocolates for international Educators Day with a card filled with heartfelt appreciation from families, we all felt very spoilt.

Last week we revisited dinosaurs, it’s always a favourite, some children extending their play by building a huge volcano in the sand pit.

This week the ducks came to visit! Mama duck and her 5 little ducklings were a favourite, we even waddled around to “ducks like rain”. There are a few party animals, the children “go off “ to the party freeze song. Fun times at PlayStation.
