The Year 3/4 students in Mrs Poole's class have been exploring measurement in their math lessons. They used the grid squares in their books to work out the area of their page.

This hands-on approach is a great way to help students develop their understanding of area while keeping them engaged in their learning. ✏️

🪾 Seeking Donations 🪾

As part of our Nature Play project, we are seeking donations of timber, specifically redgum or spotted gum in lengths of 2 to 4 metres. This will go towards the construction of tepee structures for cubby building.

If you have suitable timber or other materials you think might be useful for our Nature Play area, please contact Jarradd Searle or the Front Office. We are happy to arrange collection of any items.

📸 Classroom Snapshot - Learning with Mrs Hillier

Mrs Hillier's Reception students have been creating artwork inspired by the question - What can you draw from two eyes?

Sometimes children need just one tiny idea, and the rest comes from their imagination. Starting with nothing more than a pair of eyes, our students transformed a simple prompt into an amazing collection of unique creations. No two drawings were the same, with each child bringing their own ideas, creativity, and personality to the page.

It's a wonderful reminder that creativity doesn't come from having all the answers. It often begins with a small spark and the confidence to let imagination take over. We loved seeing where those two little eyes could lead. 🎨
