Our students were treated to another wonderful Booyal Bistro lunch last week, thanks to Ms Williams. On the menu were delicious homemade porcupines with vegetables, followed by a warm dessert.

The Booyal Bistro is so much more than a tasty meal. It gives students the opportunity to practise table manners, build confidence in social situations, and enjoy sharing a meal together in a welcoming environment.

We are incredibly grateful to Ms Williams for preparing these free, two-course lunches every fortnight. Booyalians are very lucky children indeed!

Our students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Paddock to Plate event at St Joseph's School, Childers, and what a fantastic day it was!

We are incredibly grateful to the organisers for putting together such an informative, engaging, and exceptionally well-organised event. Students gained valuable insights into the many industries that contribute to our local agricultural community and enjoyed speaking with the passionate people behind the displays.

A sincere thank you to St Joseph's School and to all the exhibitors who generously shared their time, knowledge, and expertise. It was a memorable learning experience, and we feel very fortunate to have been invited.

Tuesday morning and ‘Operation: Persuade Mother’ swung into action.

Students are learning how to communicate persuasively. One perplexed young man came to me saying that he had tried out one of the strategies on his mum but had only received a ‘”Good try!” response. His aim was to snag extra time on the PlayStation for himself and his brother – a real treat in their eyes. It was then that the Booyal Bunyip troops sprang into action!

What followed was an incredibly engaging and fun English lesson where, collaboratively, students put their new skills to good use.

With bated breath we have waited to hear the outcome.

Thanks to Mum, (who has been a really good sport!), the boys are living their dream this afternoon – proof that learning can have real life benefits.

Last Friday, Booyalians proudly joined students from other local small schools at the Small Schools' Athletics Carnival in Gin Gin. A huge thank you to McIlwraith State School for organising such a fantastic event and to Gin Gin State School for hosting the day.

From sprints and relays to jumps and throws, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was wonderful to see our students giving every event their best, encouraging one another, and displaying sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special congratulations to all the students who earned ribbons, medals and shields—you should be incredibly proud of your achievements. Just as importantly, congratulations to every student who stepped onto the track or field, had a go, and participated with enthusiasm and determination. You represented our school beautifully.

A heartfelt thank you to our families and supporters who came along to cheer, help, and encourage our students. Your support helps make days like these so special.

One of the best parts of the carnival is the opportunity to come together with other small schools, reconnect with familiar faces, make new friendships, and celebrate what makes our school communities so special. We are grateful to be part of such a supportive network.

Well done, Booyalians! We are proud of each and every one of you.
