Boonah State High School has been proudly serving the Fassifern community since 1965, and in that time it has progressed from an opening enrolment of 225 students to 580 today. Our current facilities include assembly hall, resource centre, administration block, industrial technology & design block, home economics block, art block, three full size computer rooms and mini labs, flexible learning cen

As we celebrate the final day of Book Week 2026, we’re sharing another collection of staff favourites to complete our Symphony of Stories.

Thank you to our staff members for sharing the books that have inspired, entertained and stayed with them. We hope the series has introduced our students and families to some wonderful new reading possibilities! 📖✨

It’s time for one of our favourite Book Week traditions — Book Character Dress-Up Day! 🎭✨

Come to school dressed as a character from a book and help us finish our Symphony of Stories in style.

There will be prizes for our best individual and group costumes, so we can’t wait to see the creativity our students and staff bring to Book Week!

Time to add some art to our Symphony of Stories!

Today is Session 1 of our Book Week Tote Bag project. Students are invited to head to the Art Block at first break to get inspired, start designing and create their very own book-inspired tote bag.

Whether your inspiration comes from a favourite character, quote, story or imaginary world, we can’t wait to see what you create! 🎨📖
