💐 Happy Educators’ Day

To our wonderful Educators,

Today, on Educators’ Day, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank you for everything you do for our children and families. From the families we support, thank you for the love, patience, care and dedication you show each and every day. You create safe, welcoming and nurturing environments where our children can learn, play, grow and simply be themselves. The little moments you share with the children, the comfort you provide, the activities you plan and the encouragement you give all make a lasting difference. Thank you for opening your homes and your hearts to our children and for the important role you play in their lives. We appreciate you, we value you and we are so grateful for all that you do. 💕🌸

Music and movement are simple ways to bring learning, laughter and connection into the day. Children can dance freely, copy actions, move fast or slow, and even invent their own silly moves!

🫧Homemade Bubbles🫧

You'll need:
1 cup of warm water
2 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid
1 tablespoon of sugar

Gently stir the ingredients without creating too much foam, then allow the mixture to rest (at least an hour) before using.

Try making bubble wands from pipe cleaners or experiment with different household items to see which ones create the best bubbles!

As children blow, chase and experiment with bubbles, they're developing coordination, curiosity and problem-solving skills through play.

Behind every day in Family Day Care is an educator thoughtfully preparing spaces, planning experiences, completing documentation, communicating with families and making sure each child feels safe, supported and included.

So much of this work happens quietly behind the scenes, but it makes an incredible difference in the lives of children and families.

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful educators and everything they bring to their role.

Reading together is about so much more than the words on the page.

Stories introduce children to new ideas, build their vocabulary and encourage them to imagine what might happen next. Whether it’s a familiar favourite or a brand-new adventure, every story offers another opportunity to learn and connect.

We had such a fun morning filled with play, exploring and plenty of sensory fun! It was so lovely having everyone come along and seeing the little ones stuck into all the activties.

A big thank you to Haus Of Zarlie for bringing along the sensory bins. They were definitely a favorite!

It’s Children’s Book Week! 📚✨

This year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, celebrates the many different stories, characters and ideas that come together through books.

From colourful picture books and familiar favourites to exciting chapter books, there’s a story for every age, interest and imagination.

One of the lovely things about Family Day Care is seeing friendships grow between children of different ages.

Younger children learn by watching and joining in, while older children have opportunities to help, encourage and include others. Over time, these everyday moments create a close knit little group where every child has a place.

It’s more than spending the day together, it’s growing together.

A cardboard box can become a shop counter, a blanket can become a superhero cape and a few chairs can become a bus headed anywhere.

Imaginative play gives children the freedom to create their own characters, stories and worlds using whatever they have nearby. Sometimes the simplest resources inspire the biggest ideas!
