These superstars have made it to the Grandfinal!!
Congratulations to all the girls who played today in the MNSEC AFL 7-9 Girls team to secure a brilliant 42-28 win over Banksia Park High School. The team has now booked its place in the State Grand Final at Morphettville FC on 22 September. We are so proud of the BCDS girls' Lilly, Livvy, Neve, Myah, Brooklyn, Grace and Mia and we wish them all the best for the big one!

On Wednesday, Marlee, Noah and Charlie proudly represented BCDS at District Athletics in Adelaide. Their effort, dedication and determination were outstanding, and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

There was plenty to celebrate, with Charlie placing 3rd in the 100m and being part of the winning 12 year old North Eastern relay team. Noah also put his long legs to good use, jumping his way to an impressive 2nd place in the long jump!

Congratulations to all three students for the way they represented our school. Thank you also to our families for their ongoing support in making these opportunities possible.

BCDS would like to wish Patrick the very best of luck as he travels to Ballarat to compete in the National Cross Country Championships.

As part of his race preparations, Patrick will have the opportunity to walk the course on Friday before taking to the start line on Saturday. Qualifying for a national championship is an outstanding achievement in itself, and regardless of the result, we are incredibly proud of all that he has accomplished.

Patrick's success is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment he brings to his training. His determination and perseverance are truly commendable and make him a wonderful role model for our school community.

We know he will give it his all, and we will be cheering him on every step of the way!

Run hard, Patty! We're all behind you. Good luck and enjoy the experience!

It’s newsletter week! If you like to keep up to date with all things BCDS, our fortnightly newsletter is the place to go! Jam packed with student work and achievements, an events calendar, the latest news and the Principal’s Report it’s one of the best ways to stay up to date. Delivered to your inbox, available on our website, dropped off to local shops or sent home by hardcopy for those who prefer that, we’ve got you covered and it’s always worth a read! And just like that it’s come to an end, now for the long drive home……

It was a challenging day yesterday with poor visibility, snow showers and eventually rain. The students all braved the conditions to ski some blue (intermediate runs). Everyone’s skills have improved and we even had time for some Uno.
Today was better visibility and less challenging conditions with small patches of blue skies. The weather gods even sent us a Melbourne Storm! One staff member was super excited by this chance encounter with the NRL Royalty! See you all soon!

UPDATE: Our guys and gals are winners! The chooks have picked up 3x first place wins, 1x second and 1x third. A huge Thankyou to Miss Sunners who has been working with the students on this in class but also gave her time to take the chooks to the show, enter them and return them back to school again. Ned finished 5th in his event with a ripping score of 45.15 but unfortunately missed out on the final with the top 4 going through. So proud of everyone efforts today!

It’s showtime! The 9/10 ag students have been preparing our competition chooks this week for the Crystal Brook show. If you’re there check them out! We will keep you posted on any results across the weekend. More importantly if you are at the show make sure you get along and watch the intermediate sport shear where Ned is competing against 11 others. Ned has had a very successful year already and even featured in the Stock Journal. His impressive skill and dedication to his craft is earning him well deserved recognition! We wish him all the best today and at all future events!
