Part 2!

Kindergarten have been exploring the needs of chickens in science this term. Students were given a task to create a nest box for a chicken. The nest boxes needed to be cosy, have air flow, be safe from predators, have a roof for shelter and easy access.
Well done to all students and their amazing efforts!

And here it is… the Year 6 fundraiser finale! 🎉

Complete with a whipped-foam facial for our wonderful Principal, Mrs Clark — what a good sport she is! 😂🫧 Oscar was the lucky year 6 student drawn to complete the mission!

Earlier in the week, we also featured Noah and Bailey, who looked absolutely fabulous dressed as beautiful princesses! 👑💕

A massive thank you to all of our students and families who donated and supported our fundraiser. Your generosity helped make it such a fun and successful week! 💙💛

The 3/4 Frilly’s have been busy creating a news report as part of our writing unit! Their task was to write a historical and factual account on the life of Malala Yousafzai, using their research and learning to present the key events of her incredible journey.

Reading 'Malala’s Magic Pencil' was a wonderful way to open our eyes to important world issues and encourage meaningful conversations about education, equality and the rights of children around the world. 🌏📚

The students worked hard to include factual information, organise their ideas clearly and write like real journalists. We are so proud of the thoughtful questions, discussions and writing they produced!

Our final workshop with Alleyway Art Studio was yesterday and check out what 5/6 Eagles have produced. Titled by the class "Waste to Wings: Eagles Upcycle Adventure" this woven artwork uses recycled fabrics and materials to depict land, water and sky with Eagles flying high 🦅💙💛

It will be on display at the Sustainable Neighbourhoods Waste to Art Exhibition. We will let you know where so you can go and check it out.

Well done Eagles and a big thank you to Alana for running such an engaging program! 👏

In Science, the 3/4 Frilly’s have been learning all about landscapes and how the Earth’s surface changes over time. One of these changes is the impact volcanoes can have on the land.

So, of course, we couldn’t learn about volcanoes without doing a good old-fashioned volcano experiment! 🌋🧪

The students had a great time watching the volcano erupt and seeing the science in action! It was a fun and hands-on way to explore how volcanic eruptions can change the landscape

Our Year 3/4 students have been busy bringing stories to life through their very own comic strips! ✏️📚

Inspired by Rowan of Rin, students used creativity, sequencing and visual storytelling to retell key moments and create their own interpretations of the story.

We love seeing the detail, imagination and effort that went into each one — well done, Year 3/4! 🌟👏
