We intentionally placed our kitchen at the heart of our home here at Belong.

We wanted children and families walking through our doors to be met with the smell of something cooking, fresh ingredients being prepared, meals being made from scratch, and that familiar feeling of being cared for.

It is part of the everyday here, and our amazing Danni brings it to life so beautifully for our community.

Book Week brought plenty of costumes to Belong, but even more stories 🤍

From princesses and superheroes to Scooby Doo, Thomas the Tank Engine, sporting heroes and everything in between, each choice gave us a little glimpse into the interests, passions and stories that matter to the children.

Throughout the week, we explored what it means to be an author and illustrator, created our own little worlds, drew, told stories and shared plenty of cosy reading moments together.

One of our educators even brought in a favourite book from their own childhood, sparking beautiful conversations about the memories and connections that books can hold throughout our lives.

Long before children learn to read, literacy is already growing through stories, conversations, imagination and play.

Perhaps somewhere among our little storytellers, readers and creators is a future author or illustrator 🤍

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, grandads, uncles and father figures within our Belong community 🤍

On Friday, we celebrated a little early with a brekky bar, a lolly jar guessing game with some prizes up for grabs, and a wall of heartfelt creations from the children.

We hope it was a fun way to kick-start the Father’s Day weekend!

Today, we honour the important role you play in the lives of your children and hope you have a beautiful day with the people you love.

On Wednesday, we celebrated our amazing team through play, prezzies, words of love and delicious food 🤍

It is such an honour to walk alongside our incredible team each day.

The love, dedication and deep care that pours from them each day is truly something to admire. We are endlessly grateful for the ways they give of their hearts to the children and families within our community.

To our Belong educators and to educators everywhere, thank you, thank you, thank you!

The work you do matters deeply.

We see you.
We appreciate you.
And we are so very grateful for you. 🤍

As a team, we have returned to these questions again and again, anchoring ourselves as we reflect on the heart of our work and the values we’re here to live by.

The images above capture our team unpacking what matters most, and naming the specific ways our values show up; in our relationships, our rituals, our language, and the environments we create for children and families.

This season of reflection as a community has paved the way for a refreshed version of our philosophy - which we are calling our pillars.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share our pillars with you, and what they look like in everyday practice.

Warmest Christmas wishes to you from all of us at Belong! 🎄✨

We wrapped up the year with some beautiful celebrations, shared feasts, and rituals of connection. This year also marked a special milestone; our first group of children who began with us as babies at Belong have now journeyed with us all the way through to graduation! We feel so grateful for our community and the moments we’ve shared together.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season! We look forward to welcoming families and children back on January 5th, 2026.

It’s already been a week since we came together at the Spring Gathering!

We are so grateful for everyone who joined us, and to the wonderful market stall holders who gifted us the joy of experiencing their offerings and creations.

Thank you to all who shared their love with the Belong stall, together we raised over $500 for and the I Care, You Care, We Care initiative. ❤️

It truly was such a joy to celebrate the creativity of each child and local business, and to come together in connection as a community.

This week we had a wonderful evening experiencing the Mosaic of Marks Exhibition and Atelier Workshop! ✨

As a team, we love leaning into the principles of the Reggio Emilia Approach, especially “The Hundred Languages of Children.”

This central principle reminds us that each of us, children and adults alike, have countless ways of communicating, thinking, and expressing ourselves in life. These “languages” might be words, drawings, movement, sculpture, role play, storytelling, or other forms of expression unique to who we are.

As was beautifully shared during the evening:
“Since we are born, we start to communicate. The Hundred Languages are part of the human beings equipment.”

With this in mind, we believe our role is to honour these many languages and give both children and ourselves the opportunity to use them - especially in combination - so that creativity, identity, and learning can unify and flourish.
