This looks great. If I wasn't already going to Australia to run my own courses at this time, I'd be doing this! Who wouldn't benefit from a few structured hours in nature each week? šŸ’•

Would you like to learn animal communication, but you worry that you're not going to be capable of doing it.

How to overcome self-doubt.

Book a discovery call via the link on my bio, to chat about this some more. Or, if you feel ready to make that leap of faith, all of my upcoming courses are also in the bio.

He didn’t thrash or cry out.

Just swam slowly alongside the boats, brushing his body against the hull like he wanted to be noticed—but not feared.

That’s when Joar saw him.

At first, he thought it was a trick of the light. But as the whale circled closer, Joar could see it clearly: a leather harness strapped around his body. Tight. Foreign. Man-made.

The whale nudged the boat again, as if asking, ā€œCan you help?ā€

Joar, a fisherman who once hunted these waters, didn’t hesitate.

He pulled on a survival suit and slipped into the freezing Arctic sea. As he approached, the whale didn’t back away. He waited.

One buckle.
Then another.
Until the final strap floated free.

The whale didn’t swim off.

He turned, pressed his head softly into Joar’s chest—and stayed there for a long, quiet moment.

They called him Hvaldimir.

No one knew where he came from.
But everyone could see what he’d chosen.

To trust.
To return.
To stay close to the people who had set him free.

Some say he was trained. Others say he was lost.

But those who met him say something different:
That he came to remind us of something we’d forgotten.

That gentleness is strength.
That freedom begins with trust.
And that even in the coldest waters, friendship can still be found.
