📚✨ Book Week Magic! ✨📚

A little flashback to the magic of Book Week last week!

While the costumes and favourite characters are always a highlight, days like these are about so much more. They’re about the joy, laughter and memories our students create together — the kind they’ll remember long after their primary school days are over.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and P&C for the time, effort and energy that went into making the day so special. Not only did you help create a fabulous experience for our students, but you also helped raise valuable funds that go straight back into supporting our beautiful school.

And of course, thank you to our families for getting behind the fun — our Bonnells Bay community really is something special!

What a morning at Bonnells Bay!

What a beautiful morning we had celebrating DUGS Day with our wonderful Bonnells Bay community! ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast. There’s something pretty special about seeing our school community come together, sharing breakfast, having a laugh and enjoying time with our kids.

A massive thank you to our fabulous staff who were kept busy cooking delicious bacon and egg rolls, serving drinks and getting amongst the games on the oval. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

And then there was the entertainment… 🎸🎤

A very special shout-out to our resident rock star, Mr Filis, who treated us to our very own Bonnells Bay gig! Live guitar, singing, dancing and plenty of smiling faces — we’re not sure every school gets live music with their bacon and egg roll, but apparently that’s how we do DUGS Day at Bonnells Bay!

Days like today remind us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing, supportive school community. Thank you for showing up, joining in and helping us make this morning such a special celebration.

We loved having everyone together.

Today during Science KM explored animal-designed structures by making fizzy spider webs. The children enjoyed this hands-on experiment while learning about the fascinating structures spiders create.

Who knew a homophone lesson could be such a lovely one? 💚

While learning about the difference between principal and principle, 5/6F put their literacy skills into action by writing some beautiful words about our Principal, Mrs Witt, and the wonderful principles she demonstrates every day.

It was a clever way to remember two commonly confused words — with plenty of kindness thrown in along the way!

State Athletics, here they come!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Olivia and Phoebe at the Regional Athletics Carnival! 🌟

🥉 Olivia – 3rd place in Shot Put
🥇 Phoebe – 1st place in Long Jump
🥈 Phoebe – 2nd place in Shot Put

These fantastic results at Regional level mean both girls have qualified to compete at the State Athletics Championships!

Reaching this level of competition is an incredible achievement, and we are so proud of the determination, skill and sportsmanship both girls have shown along the way.

Congratulations Olivia and Phoebe! The whole Bonnells Bay community will be cheering you on as you head to State!

🌸☀️ Spring has sprung at Bonnells Bay 🌼💚

There’s something pretty special about the first day of spring — and today our playground was certainly making the most of it!

With the sun shining and beautiful blue skies overhead, our students enjoyed getting outside, spending time with friends and soaking up some gorgeous spring sunshine. ☀️

After the cooler winter months, it was lovely to see so many smiling faces out and about around our beautiful little school.

Here’s to warmer days, more sunshine and plenty of springtime fun ahead! 🌷🐝🌿

Good luck to our athletes who will be competing at the Hunter Regional Athletics Carnival tomorrow. Five students have qualified for individual events, as well as our Senior Boys and Senior Girls relay teams. It is an amazing accomplishment to qualify for regionals and we are all cheering for you!

Today we celebrated all of our wonderful students who had a birthday during August!

🌟 CLASS SPOTLIGHT — 1E🌟

It’s been a busy and exciting time in 1E!

We’ve been celebrating and learning through our beautiful NAIDOC-inspired artworks, showing plenty of creativity and care.

We had an amazing adventure at the Australian Reptile Park, getting up close with some incredible animals and learning lots along the way!

Back in the classroom, we’ve been focusing on friendship and kindness— learning how to include others, be a good friend and make our classroom a happy place to be.

We’re so proud of our 1E superstars!
