Sending a BIg shout out of thanks to John Curley for fixing the kindy screen door. It was an urgent fix and John jumped on this straight away and it ended up being an unexpected love job too!

The week that was...

~ A child who is 'made to share' is not sharing, they are obeying orders. ~
Learning to share takes practice, just like learning to swim. Learning to swim requires a life guard who is there just in case. Learning to share requires a life-skills guard who is there just in case. The life-skills guards keeps each toddler safe while they work out how to manage their feelings and their desires in order to take turns. Thats a lot to learn. Pennie Brownlee

Back in April BICK achieved this! We are now just finding the time to celebrate this incredible achievement.
We wish to invite all current, past and future families. We invite colleagues near and far. We invite our community partners and volunteers. We invite our wonderful neighbours. All are welcome to connect, reconnect, yarn and just BE here on Yarun with team BICK. BIG thanks to our parent body who have taken on the arrangement of this coming together.

EDIT UPDATE:
One of our beautiful Kindy families has donated a Three Wheeler Bike for Uncle Ron. We all believe this type of bike could be a safer option for Uncle. From now on it will be secured at the Kindy whilst he is there. We wish to thank everyone who offered to chip in to buy Uncle a new bike. This was such a wonderful response of care for this beautiful man who gives so much of himself to many 🙏🏻.

This is such disappointing news to share.

Someone tried to steal Uncle Ron’s bike (chained to the carpark fence). This person wasn’t successful but in the process damaged the bike so badly it is no longer rideable. If this wasn’t enough they then knocked down fencing around one of our plants along with breaking the children’s message for the community. Such a pathetic act.

If you were in Cotterill Ave today and noticed this behaviour can you please contact us. This has shaken Uncle Ron terribly 💔
