Holy Cross is excited to celebrate the International Day of Play on Thursday, June 11. Established by the United Nations in 2024 and championed by the International Play Association (IPA), this global day shines a spotlight on the essential role play has in children’s health, learning, development and happiness.
In honour of Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which upholds every child’s right to rest, leisure and play, students will enjoy an extra 31 minutes of free, unstructured play on this day.
Parents are invited to join the playground fun from 2:10–2:41 pm.
