🏆 SOUTH COAST ATHLETICS CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What an incredible achievement for Bomaderry High School!

We are thrilled to announce that Bomaderry High School has been crowned the Overall Champion School at the 2026 South Coast Secondary Athletics Championships! 🏆

This outstanding result reflects the incredible performances of our entire athletics team, with every point contributing towards this fantastic achievement.

Adding to this success, Bomaderry also placed first overall in the Male Scoring Points Division.

A huge congratulations also goes to our students who were crowned Age Champions:

Lani M – 12–15 Year Girl MC
Archie H – 15 Year Boy
Evie B – 16 Year Girl
Nathan R – 16–19 Year MC

We are extremely proud of all of our athletes who competed, supported one another and represented Bomaderry High School with determination, sportsmanship and pride.

We are also excited to share that 8 students will now progress to the NSWCHSSA Athletics Championships later this term. We wish them the very best of luck as they prepare to compete at the next level!

This week, we acknowledge Children’s Book Week 2026, running from 22–28 August, with this year’s theme “Symphony of Stories.”

At Bomaderry High School, we encourage our students to read widely, explore new ideas and discover the stories that inspire them.

As we acknowledge Book Week, we’re also preparing for our Popfest celebrations next Thursday, 3 September!

Start planning your costume and get ready to bring your favourite character or story to life!

🤸‍♂️ Outstanding results for Ethan at the 2026 NSWCHSSA Gymnastics Championships! 🤸‍♂️

Congratulations to Ethan B, who represented South Coast at the NSWCHSSA Gymnastics Championships in Glendale and achieved some fantastic results:

🥇 1st – High Bar
🥈 2nd – Parallel Bars
🥈 2nd – Pommel

Ethan also helped the South Coast MAG team finish 2nd Overall.

Bomaderry High School celebrated this year’s National Science Week theme, "Seeds of Science: nurturing science for all”, with students engaging in a range of hands-on activities, investigations, experiments and challenges designed to spark curiosity and inspire scientific thinking.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to explore, question, investigate and discover across a variety of scientific fields, putting their learning into action. Our iFarm showcased the connection between science, agriculture and technology, with students conducting real-world plant trials, collecting data and exploring emerging technologies in a fully computerised outdoor research station.

A massive thank you to author, Allison Tait, who has donated to the library an excellent variety of books. The books will be available to borrow in our library very soon!

Not only is Allison a brilliant author, but she does a podcast as well! Check out the "Your Kid’s Next Read" podcast: on Instagram and Facebook. The Your Kid’s Next Read team (Megan Daley, Allison Rushby and Allison Tait) help you find the perfect next book for the young readers in your life – from board books to YA.
