Established in 1968 by parents surrounding the Bollon District, the Bollon District Children's Residence has been providing a supportive and caring environment for primary school students who attend the Bollon State School. Locally known as The Hostel, we provide comfortable and modern living facilities with kitchen and open plan living areas. Accommodation is available in separate dormitory style

rooms for both male and female students, each with their own bathrooms. All buildings are fully reverse-cycled air-conditioned. There is a large play area, with plenty of sand and a climbing fort. A large breeze way between the buildings provides an undercover play area for when it may rain or the sun is beating down. Games, craft supplies, TV and DVDs are just some of the other resources available to students. Most important of all is providing our children with a home away from home environment to those who would otherwise be unable to attend school on a daily basis. We provide our kids with the opportunity to establish friendships and experience sporting and cultural opportunities that come with school life, while still being able to live in a home environment.
