🌟 Celebrating Our SASS Staff 🌟

As part of School Support Recognition Week, today we had the privilege of recognising the incredible contribution our SASS staff make to Boggabilla Central School each and every day. 💙

A special part of our celebration was recognising staff who had ‘levelled up’ for their years of service:

🏅 Wendy Tweedy – 15 Years
🏅 Gail Britton – 15 Years
🏅 TJ Midgley – 15 Years
🏅 Belinda Cairns – 5 Years
🏅 Geoffrey Prince – 1 Year
🏅 Kate Wren – 1 Year

Following our School Service Medal Assembly and class photo, our SASS team were able to come together for a well-deserved morning tea.

To make sure everyone could attend, our teaching staff stepped in to cover duties across the school including the library, kitchen, playground and front desk. A big thank you to everyone who helped make that possible. 👏🏽

Mr Waide and Mr Clarke, after experiencing life on the other side for a short time, were quoted as saying, “the pressure was intense.” 😂

From supporting our students and classrooms to keeping our school running smoothly behind the scenes, the contribution of our SASS staff is felt across every part of BCS.

Thank you for everything you do for our students, staff, families and wider school community. We are very lucky to have you as part of our team. 💙

⚽ SMALL SCHOOL. BIG ACHIEVEMENT. 🏆

There were a few very well-deserved surprises handed out at BCS today! 🎁⚽

Our Primary Small Schools Soccer Knockout Team were each presented with their very own new soccer ball to celebrate an incredible achievement — making it all the way to the STATE QUARTER FINALS! 🔥👏

From the first round to the quarter finals, this crew worked hard, played some brilliant soccer, backed each other and represented Boggabilla Central School with pride. 💪❤️

For a little school like ours to make it into the final eight teams in the state is something pretty special, and these kids deserve to be proud of what they achieved. 🏆

The new soccer balls are a little reminder of a BIG achievement — although judging by this photo, we don't think they'll stay new for very long! 😂⚽

Congratulations, team. What an incredible run! ⚽❤️

📣 Preschool Open Classroom – Change of Time! 🌟

Our Preschool Open Classroom will now be held directly after our Father’s Day celebrations this Thursday.

📍 BCS Preschool Room

Families and special people are warmly invited to join us as we share our children’s portfolios, Term Overviews and learning goals. We’ll also have a special Father’s/Special Person video presentation to enjoy together. 💙🎥

🖤💛❤️ Keeping Toomelah Safe 🖤💛❤️

Our Stage 4 and 5 students attended the Toomelah Community Disaster Preparedness & Resilience Day on Friday.

It was a valuable opportunity to learn about preparing for floods, fires and storms while connecting with Elders, emergency services, local organisations and community partners. 🚒🌧️🔥

Thank you to the Toomelah Local Aboriginal Land Council, Winangali Infusion and everyone involved in bringing the community together for such an important event. ❤️

🎨🖼️ Bringing the Art Gallery into the Classroom! 🖼️🎨

A couple of pics from Stage 3 and Stage 5 Elective Art’s virtual gallery tour with the Art Gallery of New South Wales earlier in the week 👀✨

As part of their HOME Project Arts Unit, students had the opportunity to explore artworks from the gallery and build their understanding of how artists communicate stories, ideas and perspectives through their work. 🎨💭

A great way to connect our classroom learning in Boggabilla with one of Australia’s leading cultural institutions – without having to leave the school! 🙌

Thank you to the Art Gallery of NSW for providing this opportunity for our Stage 3 and 5 students. ❤️

🌿☀️ SPRING INTO PLAY – Everyone Welcome! ☀️🌿

Boggabilla Preschool is excited to welcome our little ones, families and community to Spring Into Play – Playgroup in the Park! 🛝🌼

👶 For children aged 0–5 years

Come along for a beautiful morning of nature-based play, connection and fun as we welcome spring together! 🌱🐦💛

Families will also have the opportunity to come and yarn with local support services about the journey to preschool and big school. It’s a relaxed chance to connect, ask questions and meet some of the people who are here to support our children and families. 🤝

A big thank you to DrugArm Boggabilla, Goondiwindi Medical Centre, Indigenous Wellness Connect Program and Care Goondiwindi for joining us and supporting our community. ❤️

A big thank you to Aylish for completing her work experience with our Kindergarten students at Boggabilla Central School! 🖤💛

Our Kindy students absolutely loved having Aylish in their classroom and enjoyed all the time, care and enthusiasm she shared with them. 🥰📚

We hope you enjoyed your work experience as much as our students enjoyed having you. They will certainly miss you! 💛
