Last-minute plans, anyone?

Stay at The Ambers this weekend for just $2,000 per night for the entire property. Only $91 per person, per night when 22 guests stay.

Luxury properties like The Ambers are expensive to operate, but with a rare last-minute weekend still available, we’d much rather see it filled with families and friends making memories than sitting empty. So, we’ve reduced the rate and are passing the opportunity on to one spontaneous group.

There’s a lot to love about The Ambers… but on a warm summer day, this might just be everyone’s favourite spot 🤍

Our resort-style pool was made for long, lazy days spent together morning swims, kids racing down the waterslide and afternoons stretched out poolside.

And when you’re travelling with a big group, having somewhere everyone can gather (without actually having to go anywhere) is a little bit magic.

Swim. Slide. Lounge. Repeat.

Guess how many bathrooms we have at The Ambers…
NINE! Yep, you read that correctly. 9 bathrooms!!

Because when you’re holidaying with up to 22 people, nobody wants to queue for the shower.

Six of our bedrooms have their own private ensuite, giving everyone their own space to get ready, wind down and settle in.

Our bunk room has its own shared bathroom, there’s a powder room off the main living area, and out by the pool and outdoor bar you’ll find our amenities block the Sauna and three toilets for weddings and events.

It’s one of those things you might not think about when booking a big group stay… until you’re travelling with 20+ people.

No bathroom rosters. No fighting over the mirror. No waiting for someone to finish getting ready.

Just more space, more privacy and a much easier group getaway.

If the kids disappear for a while... don’t panic 🤭

They’re probably halfway down the slide, building blanket forts, putting on a talent show, or negotiating the rules of an entirely made-up game.

The kids’ rumpus room was designed to be their own little world. A space where imaginations run wild, parents get five peaceful minutes, and holiday memories are made long before anyone heads to the beach.

(And yes... the slide gets a workout from the adults too. We won’t tell 😉)

You and 21 friends can stay at The Ambers this winter from just $112 per person, per night

Luxury properties like The Ambers are incredibly expensive to operate, but we’ve always wanted to make group getaways as accessible as possible. That’s why our winter offers are designed to make gathering with family and friends a little easier.

Think slow mornings by the fire, afternoons in the sauna, games of tennis, long lunches, movie nights, sunset drinks around the firepit and plenty of space for everyone to relax.

Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a girls’ weekend, a couples’ trip or celebrating something special, winter is one of our favourite times to stay.

Before and after… quite the transformation.

These old photos take us right back to when our babies were little and this house looked very different to how it does today.

But even through all the changes, the heart of it has always stayed the same.

There’s something incredibly special about watching your own children relive parts of your childhood in the same home you grew up in. Running across the lawns, swimming all day, playing pool, piling into bedrooms together and making the same kinds of memories we once did here.

Our parents came from very humble beginnings, both growing up in small rural country towns. Dad left school at just 12 years old to begin an apprenticeship before they eventually moved together to Port Stephens at 21. They worked incredibly hard over the years to create this family home and everything it became.

So this renovation was never just about updating a property. It was very much a labour of love in every sense of the word, with every single member of our family playing a part in bringing it together.

From design decisions and styling, to landscaping, painting, problem solving and countless long days onsite, so much love, care and history has been poured back into this place.

And now seeing new families creating memories here too feels really beautiful.

If you’re new here, thanks so much for joining us. We hope you can visit The Ambers someday soon.
