Yesterday we gathered on unceded Dharug and Gundungurra lands in Lawson to talk all things Bub Hub. We’re not waiting for top-down solutions. We’re building something different: community-led childcare shaped by the realities of life in the Blue Mountains!
Our strategy and planning session, guided by Debbie Horsfall, created space to reflect honestly on where we’re at and to get clearer about what needs to happen next.
This is about more than childcare. It’s about care as collective responsibility, about resisting systems that isolate and exhaust parents, especially mothers, and about creating practical, local alternatives that really work for parents, carers and children.
We’re still in it. Still building. Still finding ways forward together! 💜
