As part of one of our Year 3/4 kindness activities leading into R U OK? Day, students were randomly assigned a classmate and given the opportunity to write them a note sharing something positive they had noticed or appreciated about them.

The notes were shared anonymously and certainly put some smiles on each other’s faces! 😊

Reading their thoughtful, encouraging and heartfelt words was a wonderful reminder of how a few kind words can brighten someone’s day.

What caring and compassionate young people we have here at Bloomsbury!

🌟 Celebrating the everyday heroes of our school! 🌟

Today at school, we had the wonderful opportunity to recognise some of the very special people who work behind the scenes (and sometimes right in the thick of it! 😄) to make our school such a great place.

Thank you for the incredible support, patience, care and encouragement you give our students every single day. You all go above and beyond to make sure our students feel supported, valued and ready to learn. The difference you make in the lives of our students is enormous, and we honestly couldn’t do what we do without you.
You are such an important part of our school family, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do. 💐

💥🧠 The P–2 Students Have Spoken… Mr Brain Has a Problem!

Mr Brain was called upon in our P–2 classroom this week after our students put their persuasive writing skills to the test! ✍️✨

The students had some very important matters to discuss, including:
📱 “All students should have iPads!”
🛝 “We NEED a new swing set at school!”
📚 “We should NOT have homework!”

And wow… were they persuasive! 😲👏

Mr Brain was so impressed by the students’ thoughtful arguments, strong opinions and convincing reasons that he now has a rather BIG list of problems to solve! 😂

Apparently, he needs to find some iPads, organise a new swing set AND abolish homework… all before lunchtime! 🤔🤣

It’s wonderful to see our students using their voices, sharing their ideas and learning how powerful their words can be. 💬💪

Watch out, Mr Brain — these little persuasive writers mean business! 😄🧠✏️

Buddy Time!

This morning, our Year 3/4 students welcomed the Year 2s for some special buddy time!

Our Year 3/4 students did a fantastic job guiding their Year 2 buddies through drawing a Triceratops and writing a compound sentence. They demonstrated great leadership, patience and pride in their work, while our Year 2 students worked extremely hard and impressed us with their enthusiasm and effort.

What a wonderful morning of learning, teamwork and friendship!

We can’t wait to welcome the Year 2s back for more buddy activities in the future!

Our Father’s Day Stall will be open Monday to Thursday, giving students plenty of opportunities to pick out a special gift. 🎉

🕗 Open 8:00am–8:30am each day
⏰ Open during all student play times

👮‍♂️✨ A visit from our Adopt-a-Cop! ✨👮‍♀️
We were lucky enough to welcome our wonderful Adopt-a-Cop this week for an important (and very interesting!) chat with our students about choices, consequences and making positive decisions.

There were some great conversations, plenty of questions, and even a hands-on experience! 😄 William got the chance to try on the police vest and see just how heavy all that gear really is! 💪🦺

A huge thank you for taking the time to visit and connect with our students. We loved having you! 👮‍♀️💙
