🎭👗 THIS WEEK IT’S COSTUME TIME! 👗🎭

It’s time to start bringing in those items required for our costumes for the upcoming school musical! 🐺✨

Please check what your child needs and start sending costume items into school this week.

If you’re unsure about what your child needs, or you’re having trouble sourcing any of the requested items, please reach out to the school so we can help.

Tickets are now available for our school musical, What is the Crime Mr Wolf? 🐺🎶

🕕 Arrive from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start

🎟️ Tickets are available through the School Bytes Parent Portal.

For the first ticket release, families can purchase up to 4 tickets per family.

👶 Young children sitting on a parent/carer’s lap: FREE

💙💛 FATHER’S DAY DIY PRESENT MAKING 💛💙

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and this year we’re giving our students the chance to create something extra special! 🥰

During Week 7, students are invited to pop into the school library at lunchtime on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, from 11:35am–12:15pm, to create their very own handmade Father’s Day gift. 🎨✂️💙

✨ Completely FREE
🎨 All craft supplies provided by the P&C
🎁 Create a personal, handmade gift for Dad, Pop, Grandad or another special person
🙌 No need to book, just turn up on the day!

We love being able to offer activities like this so every child has the opportunity to take home something special, made with their own little hands. 💛

PARENTS & CARERS – WE’D LOVE YOUR HELP! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️
If you have some spare time and would like to help our P&C volunteers during one of the lunchtime sessions, please reach out to us. Even helping for one session would be greatly appreciated!

Blakebrook families, don’t forget our Book Week & Education Week celebrations are happening tomorrow, Thursday 27 August! 💛💙

Parents and carers are warmly invited to come along and join in the morning’s celebrations.

📣 LOCAL BUSINESSES — WE’D LOVE YOUR SUPPORT! 💛💙

The Blakebrook Public School Stage 3 Fundraising Committee, proudly supported by the P&C, is calling on our wonderful local business community to help make the 2026 Stage 3 Canberra Excursion more affordable for our Year 5 & 6 students! 🚌🏛️

For many NSW students, the Canberra excursion is a real rite of passage — visiting places like Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial, bringing classroom learning to life and creating memories that last well beyond primary school.

But with the rising cost of living, excursions like this can place significant pressure on families, particularly those with more than one child attending.

🎟️ That’s where our upcoming online raffle comes in!

We’re currently seeking donations from local businesses to help us build an amazing prize pool. We would be incredibly grateful for donations such as:

🎁 Gift vouchers
🛍️ Products or gift hampers
🍽️ Dining or hospitality vouchers
✨ Services
🎟️ Experiences or activities
💛 Or anything else your business would love to contribute!

In return, we’d love to support the businesses supporting our kids. Donating businesses will be acknowledged through our school community, promoted through the Blakebrook P&C page, and included in our raffle promotions. We can also provide a raffle poster for display in your business, showcasing your support of local students and families.

Every prize donated helps us raise funds to reduce the cost of the Canberra excursion and make this important experience accessible to every student.

🌱 When local businesses support local kids, that investment comes full circle. Today’s students are tomorrow’s workers, volunteers, leaders and community members.
