This week we’ve also been celebrating National Science Week, with the theme “seeds of science”

Today 6M & 2GB enjoyed baking wattle seed scones and poppy seed muffins.
They were much enjoyed by the students and some of the lucky staff too.

A special time to acknowledge and thank our wonderful SSOs for everything they do at Coromandel Valley Primary School.
Our SSOs are at the heart of so much that happens in our school, whether helping students in classrooms, supporting staff, assisting families, and helping our school run smoothly.
We are very appreciative and grateful for all their kindness, care and commitment.
Our SSOs make a huge difference every single day!

It was a beautiful day to be on Kaurna Country. Our Community Leaders led us in an Acknowledgment of Country where all involved paid attention to the sights, sounds and feelings they noticed. After school, our students joined members of the broader community for the Coro BioBlitz where they found, identified and recorded a variety of plants and animals.

We are looking forward to our Reconciliation Assembly, tomorrow, hosted by 1T and 6M.
There will be a slight change to the program as, due to unforeseen circumstances, Jade Brook is no longer able to lead our Welcome to Country.
We still welcome families to attend as our Community Leaders share an Acknowledgment of Country on the oval, at 11:20am. This will be followed by our assembly.

Clear (cold) skies made for fabulous weather during this morning’s event.
Thanks to Magarey Orchard for their kind donation of fruit- our students were very excited to receive them upon arrival to school.
