Coromandel Valley Primary School

It was a beautiful day to be on Kaurna Country. Our Community Leaders led us in an Acknowledgment of Country where all involved paid attention to the sights, sounds and feelings they noticed. After school, our students joined members of the broader community for the Coro BioBlitz where they found, identified and recorded a variety of plants and animals.

We are looking forward to our Reconciliation Assembly, tomorrow, hosted by 1T and 6M.
There will be a slight change to the program as, due to unforeseen circumstances, Jade Brook is no longer able to lead our Welcome to Country.
We still welcome families to attend as our Community Leaders share an Acknowledgment of Country on the oval, at 11:20am. This will be followed by our assembly.

In addition to our Reconciliation Assembly, the Coro BioBlitz will also take place on Friday June 12. Please see below for further information.

Next Friday June 12, 1T and 6M will be hosting a special Reconciliation Assembly with a Welcome from Jade Brook. We would love for community to be involved.

Clear (cold) skies made for fabulous weather during this morning’s event.
Thanks to Magarey Orchard for their kind donation of fruit- our students were very excited to receive them upon arrival to school.

Congratulations to our Mountain Biking teams who competed in today’s SA Sports event. Our 5/6 boys’ teams placed 8th, 16th, 37th and 44th out of a field of 97 teams. And our 5/6 mixed team had a podium finish- 1st place!
Despite the weather, students represented the school with determination, resilience and teamwork.

Well done and thank you to our SRC Executive team of Matilda J, Archer, Ellie and Matilda E for representing and laying a wreath on behalf of CVPS at this morning’s Blackwood ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
