📚✨ Book Week 2026! ✨📚

What a wonderful Book Week we had last week! On Wednesday, we held our Book Week Parade, and our students absolutely wowed us with their creative costumes! 🎭📖

It was fantastic to see so many favourite book characters come to life, with costumes showing so much creativity, imagination and effort. ❤️

A special thank you to C&K Kindy and Lady Gowrie Kindy for joining us for our parade. We loved having you be part of our Book Week celebrations! 🥰

Get ready to bring your favourite book characters to life! 📖💫

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character for our Book Week Parade tomorrow. We are also very excited to welcome some special little visitors to join us! 🥰

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents and community members are warmly invited to join us in the hall at 10:15am for our parade.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing costumes and celebrate our love of reading together! 📚❤️

📸 SCHOOL PHOTOS – FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST 2026 📸

School photo day is almost here! We’re looking forward to capturing some special memories of our students at Blackwater State School. 💙🤍

A few important reminders for families:
👕 Students must wear their full school uniform.
💇 Hair should be neat and tidy.
⏰ Please be on time – photos will run to schedule and late arrivals may miss their photo.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family photos will be at 10:30am. Students will be called to the hall by staff when it’s time.
🏫 House Captains and Year 6 Leaders, please remember your required shirts.
🎵 Instrumental students, please bring your instrument along.
