Edu-Kingdom College Blacktown

As schools return to full time, face-to-face teaching from the 25th May, we are also looking to re-open some of our classes.

We will be re-opening our Selective & O.C Trial Test classes and year 2 to 8 Regular Course classes for English and Maths from the 26th May 2020. For our Regular Course classes there is also still an option of Online Video classes for parents that would prefer this.

Year 9 to 12 classes will stay on Zoom (online) for at least a few more weeks. After schools return to normal, we will re-assess the situation in 2-3weeks time :)

There will be strict social distancing and hygiene rules in our centre. We really look forward to helping our students face-to-face as this is what we do best!

Given the current and ongoing relations to COVID-19, we are taking precautionary measures to minimise risk to our students and staff members.

Edu-Kingdom College will be reverting to Online Video Lessons from 31st March 2020 until 26th April 2020 (subject to further notice). This covers Regular Classes (English, Maths, GA and Science) as well as O.C and Selective Trial Test programs.

For the Blacktown branch, our year 9 - 12 classes are currently run on Zoom (kind of like Skype) - they are lessons run online in 'real-time'.

We want to respond to the current COVID-19 outbreak in the best way possible for the safety of our students, parents & staff. As we closely monitor the extensive coverage of the coronavirus around the world and in NSW, we are constantly checking the advice of national and NSW health alerts.

Whilst we are not fearful of COVID-19, we are being cautious and taking proactive measures to minimise spread.

We are doing the best we can to minimise spread of the COVID-19 virus by:

- providing hand sanitiser for everyone who steps into the college
- thorough daily cleaning of tables, chairs, shelves, cupboards with disinfectant
- constant cleaning of door handles with disinfectant
- plastic cups for drinking water will not be available (only the 'one-time use' paper cups will be available)
- quarantining staff & students who have returned from travel (or been in close contact with anyone who has returned from travel) for 14 days
- urging staff and students to stay home if they have any flu-like symptoms including (but not limited to) fever, cough, sore throat & fatigue

EKC Blacktown are in the middle of discussions regarding what we can do further regarding minimising the amount of direct contact with teachers/students and we will post any further updates.

A reminder that EKC Blacktown will be closed from Sunday 22/12/2019 to Monday 6/1/2020. We will be open again for all classes from Tuesday January 7th! (Holiday courses, which are separate from the usual classes, will start from Monday 6/1/2020)

Finally, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all our amazing HSC students who received their ATARs this week!!! All your hard work has paid off so now it's time to enjoy your break before uni starts!

This means that the streets in the Blacktown CBD area will be closed off, including the streets at the front and back entrances to Edu-Kingdom College Blacktown. Please have a look at the map and plan ahead for your Saturday class for next week :)
