Tyndale Christian School

Tyndale Christian School CRICOS 02273C Tyndale values the unity of vision and lifestyle that a partnership between church, home and school offers students.

Tyndale Christian School is a co-educational non-denominational school, providing a caring and comprehensive, Bible-based education for students from Preschool to Year 12. We recognise that we are members of the body of Christ and as such, shoulder the responsibility of Christian education together. The Tyndale community has grown from an original Reformed Church base to embrace Christian parents

from a wide variety of Christian denominations and many cultural backgrounds. The students and families currently enrolled at Tyndale represent over 90 Christian Churches. Tyndale is passionate about the care and welfare of students as they move through Prep to Year 12. With children at school 6-7 hours a day we believe it is vital that parents from within the school community have an active input into the selection of staff. This is achieved through the Board of Directors who are elected by an Association of parents. All staff are Christians and committed to the Lord. They are well qualified and dedicated to nurture, guide and teach the students. Tyndale is set on 5.6 hectares and caters for students from Prep to Year 12. This allows families to have all their children attending the same school, eliminating the need to move to another location for High School. The school is located approximately 2 kms from Blacktown railway station and is serviced by local bus routes. William Tyndale (1494-1536), the name behind our school, was responsible for translating most of the Scriptures to English. He was a brilliant scholar who received his MA degree at Oxford, aged 21, and became fluent in eight languages. He was also the first man to print the New Testament in English. – using Gutenberg’s moveable-type press to do so. Convinced that salvation is a gift of God, obtained only by faith, not by works, and that the way to understanding God is through His Word, Tyndale made it his goal to ‘make the Scriptures available to the common people, in their mother tongue’. William Tyndale faced much opposition in trying to translate and distribute the Bible, as the Church felt their position of power was threatened. Later, he was tried for heresy and treason against the king, and sentenced to death. However, this courageous man of God left a legacy that has not eroded with time…

It is our goal at Tyndale Christian School that each student will uphold this legacy by using their talents for the Lord’s service and seeking to glorify Him in word, thought, and deed.

Farewelling Saint Too Canaan College // It was a special time of farewell as we said goodbye to our visiting students from ECF Saint Too Canaan College 基督教中國佈道會聖道迦南書院, marking the end of their time here at Tyndale.

On their final day, students enjoyed a traditional Australian sausage sizzle lunch with their buddies — sharing laughter, friendship, and the simple joy of being together.

In just a few days, it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow, particularly in speaking English, as they immersed themselves in classroom learning and daily interactions.

During our final assembly, a student representative expressed heartfelt gratitude for the experience — sharing how welcomed they felt, how engaging and interactive lessons were, and the joy of learning about Australian culture.

We also heard how deeply appreciated the care of our homestay families has been — from everyday hospitality to special moments like celebrating a student’s birthday, helping them feel truly at home.

Their teacher shared how this short time at Tyndale helped ease initial worries, building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging in a new environment.

Thank you to everyone who made this experience so meaningful. We pray they continue to enjoy their time in Sydney and look forward to welcoming Saint Too Canaan College again in the future.

A reminder that even a few days can create lasting friendships — together in Christ.

Together in Christ // At Tyndale Christian School, we don’t just learn — we are formed together.

From the quiet moments to the busy, joyful rhythms of school life, every step shapes who our students are becoming.

Here, each student is known, supported, and guided — learning to think, to question, and to understand.

They write, create, explore, and grow — encouraged and cared for, step by step, side by side.

Many hands. One community. A place to belong.

Together in Christ.

Secondary and Primary Athletics Day // Across two special days, our school community came together to celebrate Primary and Secondary Athletics Days — filled with energy, teamwork, and school spirit.

Our Primary Athletics Day was a joyful celebration of sport and fun, as students participated with enthusiasm and encouragement for one another.

The Secondary Athletics Carnival brought a strong competitive spirit, with students giving their best across events — and even teachers joining in the action alongside them.

It was great to see the creativity of our Year 12 students, who brought extra joy to the day through their costumes, and the strong support shown through house pride, with students representing Carey, Taylor, Knox, and Wycliffe.

Across both days, there was a wonderful sense of connection, participation, and encouragement — a reflection of our school community coming together in both competition and celebration, together in Christ.

Global Community // It has been a joy to welcome students from ECF Saint Too Canaan College 基督教中國佈道會聖道迦南書院 to Tyndale during this final week of term.

Our overseas students were warmly received at our Secondary Assembly and have been paired with their Tyndale buddies, sharing in the life of our school community.

We pray that during their time with us they would learn joyfully, live faithfully, and serve wholeheartedly, experiencing what it means to serve the Lord with gladness in a Christ‑centred environment.

Even in a short time, moments of connection like these have the potential to grow into lifelong friendships, reminding us of the value of community across cultures and backgrounds.

Together, we are part of something greater — united in faith and fellowship, together in Christ.

Visual Arts in Action // Our Year 9–10 students recently had the opportunity to take part in a Ceramics Incursion at Tyndale, learning from visiting artists Katherine Mahoney and Asahi.

Through this hands‑on experience, students explored new techniques, developed their skills, and gained insight into the creative process behind ceramic art. It was encouraging to see their curiosity, focus, and creativity come to life in a practical and engaging way.

Opportunities like this enrich our learning, allowing students to grow in confidence and expression while learning from experienced practitioners.

A wonderful reflection of learning, creativity, and growth — together in Christ.

Sports Achievement //What a fantastic couple of days for Tyndale sport 🙌⚽
Over the past two days, our Primary students have achieved some outstanding results.

On Tuesday, Israel‑Joe represented CSSA at the CIS Primary Football Championships, with the CSSA team finishing the day as Champions — a wonderful achievement.

On Wednesday, our Primary boys competed in the West Met Soccer Gala Day, showing great teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Our Junior team progressed to the finals, finishing an impressive 4th overall, while our Senior team were crowned champions after a thrilling grand final, winning in sudden‑death penalty shootouts.
