Got a great idea to bring science, tech, engineering, or maths to your local community? Applications for Round 2 of the Inspiring Australia NSW Regional STEM Community Activity Seed Grants are officially OPEN.
💡 We are looking for creative, one-off events and activities running between 1 September and 31 December 2026 that bring people together and spark curiosity.
Think of fresh ideas that go beyond "business-as-usual"!

Ever seen a balloon shrink before your eyes? What about clouds appearing out of thin air or liquids that hover like magic? That’s just a taste of what’s in store with their jaw-dropping Liquid Nitrogen Show — live and FREE throughout the day!
Running since 2004 and having wowed over 4 million kids across Australia, Fizzics Education brings high-energy, hands-on science fun that’s perfect for curious minds of all ages. Think exploding experiments, interactive discovery stations, and enough “wow” moments to last the whole drive home.
What to expect:
🧊 The Liquid Nitrogen Show — live science demos that’ll blow your mind (and maybe a few clouds across the arena)
🔦 Hands-On Discovery Zone — interactive stations covering Light & Senses, Sound & Vibrations, Gravity & Energy and more

The AVA Challenge is a free school STEM challenge and a complete unit of work for all Australian Grade 5 to 10 students, designed in partnership with the NSW Department of Education STEM Enrichment Team through Professor Scott Sleap, Rodney Cheal & Sandra Moore.
