Adventure Patch is excited to be part of Talk. Read. TOGETHER, to help parents grow their child's literacy skills through everyday moments. Each month, we will be sharing tips and ideas from Tasmanian families and professionals to help build child literacy skills in the early years.

Help your child learn new words by pointing and talking about what's around you - at home or when out on a walk. The more you talk and respond, the stronger your child's communication skills will grow.

This week is Early Learning Matters Week!

Organised by Early Childhood Australia (ECA), Early Learning Matters Week aims to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning in shaping the development and wellbeing of children.

Early learning not only equips children with foundational skills and knowledge but also instills in them the confidence to embrace learning, take risks, and navigate the world with a sense of assurance and optimism.

Adventure Patch is fortunate to have over 60 OSHC staff across our 9 services, showing up each day to continue to make positive differences in the lives of so many children.

First week of vacation care has come to an end!

Our services have been engaging in a range of different activities. From excursions to local parks and the movies, to mud day, whittling and arts and crafts!

If you received Child Care Subsidy (CCS) during the 2024–25 financial year, you will need to confirm your family income with Services Australia.

🗓 Deadline: 30 June 2026

If you don’t confirm your income by this date, your CCS may stop from 6 July 2026, and full fees could apply for any care used.

✅ It’s also a good time to check and update your 2026–27 family income estimate to ensure you continue receiving the correct level of subsidy.
