🪩 Silent Disco and Auction 🪩

Congratulations to the School Association Fundraising Team for another successful event.

The students had a fantastic time at the Silent Disco and many adults enjoyed the Waiting Room and online auction draw.

Events such as this are a team effort. It takes a lot of work to organise an event, arrange for donations, liaise with the school, setup, supervise and pack down. We would like to thank all of our volunteers for their huge efforts with this event and thank you for offering our students such a wonderful experience.

✋ “Don’t Let The Pigeon… run our school!” 🔔

During Book Week, our school worked together to develop a whole school ebook inspired by the “Don’t let the pigeon…” by Mo Willems.

We had a lot of fun considering all the things the pigeon could get up to at our school.

Thank you to Mrs Klingberg who collated the contributions from each class and developed the ebook.

⭐️ Congratulations, Mrs Dillon! ⭐️

Today, Mrs Dillon was recognised for her 25 years of service to Education at a special awards ceremony at Claremont College.

We are so fortunate to have Mrs Dillon at our school in the role of Instructional Specialist; guiding the implementation of the Lifting Literacy priority. She supports everyone at our school with a focus on improving student outcomes and always does this with kindness and compassion.

Congratulations Mrs Dillon on 25 years of service to children and young people in Tasmania and thank you for all that you do at our school and for our community.

⚽️ Fuel First, Football Second ⚽️

Today we welcomed Jon Fenech the Sporting Director & NPL Men’s Head Coach for the Kingborough Lions United Football Club to our Meet and Greet assembly.

Jon heard about the excitement our students often have to race out and play at recess and lunch time and wanted to make sure everyone knows how important it is to fuel your body for peak performance.

Did you know that the right food helps to:
1. Give you energy
2. Improve focus
3. Build strong muscles
4. Help you recover

Eating as fuel for your body is an important concept for us to learn to keep us all healthy and ready to learn.

👏 ✏️ Maths Relay 📊📐

Congratulations to the 8 students that participated in the Southern Schools Maths Relay today from Blackmans Bay Primary School.

For weeks our students have been practising their mathematical and team communication skills in readiness for today’s event.

Well done to all of you for an outstanding job and positively representing our school today!

✨⚡️👑 Crazy Hair Day 2026

Wow! Well done to the children and families for your incredible efforts with Crazy Hair Day this year.

All money raised will be donated to Story Dogs Tasmania to help them to continue reading with children in schools.

We are so lucky to have Deb and Bess join us each week to support children to become fluent and engaged readers.

Thank you again to our families for your support. Together we have raised $235 for the Story Dogs!
