Recently, the Kookaburra children have been learning some new skills! Sewing requires complex fine-motor, coordination and concentration skills as the children manipulate small needles, buttons and thread. These children will be mending clothes in no time! 🪡

As NAIDOC Week falls in the school holidays, we always recognise this important event during our first week of Term 3. Last week, we explored the art of Brett Groves - Indigenous Art - Culture, we discussed and were inspired by the 2026 NAIDOC poster, and we engaged with First Nations perspectives through stories, music, art symbols and flags. Here at Kookaburra, we aim to infuse First Nations perspectives into our everyday practices and values, but NAIDOC Week provides a special time for us to champion these practices in the forefront.
