Dear Sadh Sangat ji

In 2007, CSGB Gurmat Sangeet Academy embarked on teaching the traditional Sikh musical instruments as was done during our gurus times.

Master Satnam Singh was the teacher who took on the responsibility not only to teach but also motivate the students to try out *Rabab*, Dilruba, Israaj and Taus in addition to harmonium and tabla. Many students had never seen or even heard of these instruments before !

During his tenure of 7 years with CSGB, he did full justice to his role and connected a multitude of students of all ages to *Gurmat Sangeet*. He lit the spark in many of them who have progressed on to various musical fields at professional as well as amateur levels.
