We say 'No Way to Bullying!
This week we've been encouraging students to promote kindness, respect and inclusion. Karate teaches students to believe in themselves, use their voice and know they are not alone πŸ™Œ
In karate respect is shown in every bow, every partnership and every class.

We are so proud of our 3 Blackburn Karate members who represented Australia at the Thailand Open this weekend.
Awesome from Nickie Guan who won 2 fights and placed 4th in her weight division.
Nickie also fought in the Team event, winning the deciding 3rd fight and securing Bronze for the Aussie Girls.
Brilliant from Lachie Smith with a strong performance of kata Suparimpei and 2 more international wins in kumite.
Fantastic from Alice Hardisty who at her first international, fought strongly in her weight division and also won Bronze as reserve in the Junior Team event.
Representing your country is a fantastic achievement so very well done.
A massive thank you to the support crew of Adrienne, Kimberley, Graham and James for the unwavering support of your kids. A huge thank you to Sensei Tim for helping prepare our team.

This August, our club is proud to support Australia’s Karate Against Bullying initiative. πŸ₯‹
Karate teaches more than skills on the mat. It helps students build confidence, respect, courage, self-control and resilience, values that can make a real difference at school, online and in everyday life.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing ways our students, families and local community can get involved and stand together against bullying.
Stay tuned for more details.
Stand Strong. Choose Respect.
