Kando Martial Arts β Our commitment to our Students and our Community.
Historically, and more recently, there have been incidents and treatment of students at other martial arts schools by instructors that would not be tolerated at Kando Martial Arts.
At Kando Martial Arts we hold ourselves to the highest standards, in the way we teach, how we protect our students, and how we engage with our community.
Our instructors are the backbone of Kando.
All Kando instructors and assistant instructors are required to complete annual training modules with the Australian Institute of Sport in areas including Community Coaching and Concussion Management.
All instructors, volunteers and helpers over 18 years of age hold Working with Children Checks (WWCC), and all instructors over 18 hold first aid certificates.
Additionally, senior instructors hold Diplomas or Certificates in Sports Coaching, Sports Management or Fitness.
Continuous professional development ensures our instructors deliver the best classes possible with the highest level of professionalism. They are constantly learning, improving, and refining their skills as martial artists and teachers.
This includes regular development workshops and access to resources for further learning.
Oversight and regular evaluations keep us accountable to our mission of providing a safe, respectful, and challenging learning environment.
Kando Martial Arts was the first martial arts school in Australia to become a certified Child Safe Organisation, and weΚΌre proud to lead this standard in our industry.
At its core, Martial Arts are about protection, and that extends beyond physical self-defence. We want our members to be informed, supported, and empowered to speak up and receive support in remaining safe. Especially Children.
Our dedication to the safety of our students - especially children, on and off the mats is ongoing.
